  1. From everyone here at WebFlake, wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Obligatory note that support/file approvals may be a bit slow over the next few days, but rest assured we'll work through any backlogs as soon as we're all back. If you do travel, please be safe.
  2. Whether it's the warmth of friendship, the joy of shared moments, or the support we find in one another, let's cherish the ties that make our community so special. May your day be filled with laughter, love, and delicious moments with loved ones. Here's to a season of gratitude and togetherness. Wishing you all a bountiful and Happy Thanksgiving!
  3. Glad to hear it's working for you now!
  4. I haven't bothered yet. I stopped playing Warzone ages ago, largely because of the shitty meta and cheaters. So, I promptly subjected myself to the same shit by going back to PUBG. It's a cycle.
  5. Just to be sure I am understanding correctly, you're saying that when you make changes to your account settings, you are presented with the "Saved" gump and it doesn't go away when navigating to other settings? Have you tried adjusting another setting to see if that offsets it?

    Question I Can't review

Newbies are unable to leave reviews. This is just an anti-spam measure, so don't worry. You're a mere point away from ranking up and will have access to a few more permissions when you do.
  7. Dark mode is back! Updated various SVG resources to mesh properly. chatInputArea now has a border for dark mode. Added a Closed status to the Ideas page. Bugs are now sorted by Status rather than Publish Date. Added a Browse Categories link to the Downloads sub-menu. Miscellaneous CSS fixes for the Staff Applications page. View full release
  8. I definitely have an interest in a Providers directory but would likely outsource the work to someone else given the amount of time it'd take to develop that page. For reference, for other readers, this is the Providers Directory on Invision's website: Providers Directory - Invision Community

    Website Theme

As this submission was related to our Halloween theme which won't be used again until next year, I'm going to close voting. We can revisit this next year if necessary.
  10. On the contrary, I think they've made it worse while washing their hands clean of it. Most, if not all, of the third-party developers don't verify licenses on their websites. They've effectively told these developers that they're on their own now. IPS likely felt like they weren't getting as much of a cut from marketplace sales anymore, so that's why they dropped it. I don't think it has anything to do with overhead on their site. That was such a ridiculous claim for them to make. They've spent so much time being worried about pirating that they don't even realize they're driving themselves over a cliff with current development. They're neutering the commerce aspects of their platform, such as removing the integrated support system, and really made a mess of their UI with IPS5; looks like an amalgamation of Discourse and other various platforms. It's really an eyesore.
  11. Wishing you all the spookiest of nights and plenty of frights. May it be filled with sugar and sweets, less of the tricks and more of the treats. A couple of quick notes: Our Halloween badges are awarded manually due to system restrictions. I've processed a batch of them now. If you believe you should have received a badge, please leave a comment below. This Halloween theme will be going away tomorrow. Enjoy it while it lasts! Be safe and have a wonderful night!
  12. Fixed a language string issue with the Ideas page. Updated permissions for Invision Beta. Added a new forum icon for this section. Condensed and reordered the ThemeForest and CodeCanyon categories. More adjustments to these categories to follow. Added an Avatar Hub. We plan to add many more choices in the future. We are open to submissions via the Ideas page. Reenabled our disposable/throwaway email filter. View full release

    Website Theme

No, I haven't noticed, as you're the only one to have an issue with it. It's Halloween-themed. What needs to be improved, specifically? Profile Songs are likely going away as they're unnecessary and bloaty.
  14. Certainly something that can be considered. I'm not a fan of the Profile Songs app myself, especially since you can't set a default volume level.
  15. There are a few reasons why but let's start with some basic troubleshooting steps. Log into your ACP, then go to System → Get Support and tell me if you see any errors displayed there, particularly related to file/folder permissions. If you do not, let's move on to checking folder permissions. You'll need to log into your cPanel or preferred FTP client and visit your root folder. Find the Uploads folder and ensure the permissions are set to 0755. If not, change the folder permissions and ensure that you choose the recursive option when prompted. If neither of these resolve your issue, we'll have to check your hosting configuration next.
  16. Is the error only occurring on just postContainer or is it all templates for that theme?
  17. Enabled Similar Content for new threads. Added an Avatar Hub. All users can use these avatars. Available on registration. More to come soon. Moved WordPress file category back to root directory. Added WordPress Content redirect to the WordPress forum category. Condensed several ThemeForest and CodeCanyon categories. We will continue condensing and reorganizing this section going forward. View full release
  18. Reenabled WordPress forums. Adjusted permissions for several file categories that were mistakenly inaccessible. URLs on the Trackers and Donations pages have been updated. Added a message to our registration form notifying users that our emails are currently being marked as spam due to being a new domain. Added a button to reveal password during registration. GitHub profile URL now links to GitHub. Updated statuses and status definitions for our Bug Tracker. Added two new badges: Spooky Visitor — awarded for logging in on Halloween. Thanks for the Candy — awarded for creating content (topic/post/file) on Halloween. Enabled Discord integration. At this time, it is not required to link your WebFlake and Discord accounts. This may change in the future. Miscellaneous fixes: Corrected the text color on search input. Add colorizing to code blocks for compatibility with a dark theme. Softened the color on auto-completion text. Added gradient background to more ipsTabs locations throughout the site. View full release
  19. After nearly two years, WebFlake is reopening its doors to the community. We're excited to renew this adventure with you all and are so thankful for your love and commitment. We've heard your voices, and we've missed you too. Let's cover some important questions! What is the new domain name; what happened to WebFlakeSX? We no longer own the WebFlakeSX domain or Twitter/X account. Regrettably, we allowed the domain to lapse, and it was promptly snatched by one of the many domain squatters that hold beleaguered domains ransom. We have no desire to pay the fees required to recollect that domain, so we have moved on to the dev extension, WebFlake.dev, and have launched a new Twitter/X account https://twitter.com/WebFlakeHQ. Why is WebFlake returning; why now? You. That's the simple truth. WebFlake stood as a bastion for ingenuity, creativity, and ambition. Our community and webmasters everywhere still need us. Are you affiliated with the other WebFlake sites? No. We never were and never will be. It goes without saying that none of us expected our community or the market to just sit on their hands after WebFlake's closure. We fully respect and appreciate the efforts to provide a spiritual successor or an entirely new home for interested users. What we are absolutely uncomfortable with, are the two communities that thought it prudent to use our branding, our identity, and attempt to be us. Whether their intention was to defraud you or simply to take up the reins, their combined lack of success and egregious lack of respect for every one of us that made WebFlake possible is what is important here. Neither community acknowledged that they were not the original WebFlake and both communities made concerted efforts to effectively copy/paste elements of this community. We won't ban you for participating in their charade provided you do not advertise or discuss those communities on any of our platforms. We do strongly encourage you to avoid being deceived or preyed upon. You don't have to choose us over them, there are other options — just don't encourage or facilitate their unscrupulous endeavors. What can we expect with WebFlake's relaunch? WebFlake closed in January 2022. With that in mind, we ask that you temper your expectations. We've restored the website as it were twenty months ago in its totality. Users, donations, topics, posts, reputation, files, and everything in between is intact. We've upgraded the core and the database to current versions. We've also just completed a total overhaul of our member groups, updated our original theme, and are continuing to make a number of other modifications and improvements to our community. You can see some of those changes listed in our Release Notes, here: WebFlake Release Notes - 7.0.0 What are your plans going forward? We want to place more emphasis on quality of life and community. We recognize that our approach prior to closing last January wasn't the best and we have immense room for improvement. In the pipeline are minor things like relaxed guidelines and larger things like crowdfunding. We're also contemplating expanding our brand into other web-related ventures; more info on this to come. In the meantime, we want to ensure that we begin making up for lost time. What can I do to help out with the relaunch? Content. Come say hi, submit a file, answer a question, or join us on Discord. If you have a spare server boost or two for Discord, we would appreciate it if you applied them to WebFlake to enhance the user experience there. Do remember that you are under no obligation to contribute but know that you would have our undying gratitude. Additionally, you can promote our relaunch on social media and with your connections. We do not condone spamming other communities or Discord servers; be respectful. What if I encounter bugs or things aren't working as they should be? If you encounter any bugs, please report them on our Bug Tracker, here: https://webflake.dev/forums/bug-tracker. If you think you can help us improve the community, we'd love to hear your thoughts; submit them via our Ideas page here: https://webflake.dev/forums/ideas Who is managing WebFlake now? Tony, James, Logan, Cookie Monster, and GradientWizzard. To be clear, this means that Phun has retired and will no longer be involved with WebFlake in any capacity. He may stop by to say hello on occasion, but he is no longer representing or assisting in the management of WebFlake. What if I have a question that isn't covered here? Feel free to ask away on Discord or the forums, and we will answer those questions to the best of our ability.

Invision Community Suite 4.7.14 WebFlake Release Date: 11/1/2023 WebFlake Note: Please create a support topic in IPS Support if you need assistance.
  21. Updated to Invision Community 4.7.13 and all available apps/plugins. This includes several new features, notably: Improvements to solved topics with new notifications, a total solved topics count in profile, plus the ability to see a user's solved posts. Users will now receive a notification when their content is moderated (locked, deleted, moved, etc), for verbal warnings, updates to our community guidelines, when new forums are added, subscription adjustments, etc. Additionally, with the new Alerts system, moderators can generate popup messages to members for a variety of reasons like notices about reports, reminders, etc. Support topics can now be filtered by un/solved and can also be filtered in the Activity Stream. Personally Identifiable Information (PII) and account deletion requests are now baked in and available. Users can log in with display name or email. Posts from staff are now highlighted in topic view. Push notifications via web browser for users who opt-in. Migrated from Advanced Tags & Prefixes to Radical Tags. This new system is slightly limited but is the only alternative given that ATP is now abandonware. Upgraded our WebFlake N3XT theme to V3 and stylized to reflect the new home page with several minor CSS adjustments. Integrated Invision's new Achievements & Ranks system. This new system is now our default progression system, and all permissions are now tied to individual ranks. This system includes 14 total ranks (including the base rank of Newbie), 16 obtainable badges, and 12 obtainable achievements. Member groups are no longer displayed (except for Staff). User ranks (and their current XP) are displayed in-topic, on profiles, and in the user menu. With the exception of the number of points required to progress to Rookie (lowered to 20), all required point totals for each rank have been left unadjusted. Users can earn points based on a number of activities on the site. The following is a list of how points can be earned and is subject to change: Comment/reply posted 1 Point Comment/reply posted is the user's 1st comment/reply 5 Points Comment/reply posted is the user's 10th comment/reply 10 Points Comment/reply posted is the user's 500th comment/reply 50 Points Content item followed 1 Point Followed by another Member 1 Point Member reaches 10 followers 5 Points Following a Node (forum for example) 1 Point File posted 3 Points Topic posted 1 Point Topic posted is the user's 1st Topic 10 Points File posted is the user's 1st File 10 Points Reaction Received 1 Point Reaction received is the user's 100th reaction 20 Points User signs in and they have logged in for concurrently for 7 days 5 Points Best answer 3 Points Best answer is the user's 10th best answer 10 Points Some of the activities listed above will generate unique badges that are displayed on your profile. The following is a catalogue of available badges: The first four badges are only available by manual assignment. Moving from Newbie to Rookie can be done quickly with one topic and one approved file submission. The intention here is to encourage activity among lurkers. You can continue to lurk, but you won't be able to rank up passively. We cannot stress this enough: this system is subject to change at any time. If it seems too tough at first, or too easy, we will adjust as we receive feedback. Donator ranks are unaffected by the ranking system although they are still able to progress through the ranks as a form of recognition. We've moved away from our traditional tracker system for suggestions/ideas and are now using a vote-based system for users to offer new ideas for WebFlake. Access our Ideas platform here: https://webflake.dev/forums/ideas We've tentatively reenabled our Staff Applications page (webflake.dev/forums/apply) but as with all things, there may be bugs so please report them as you encounter them. DISCORD: We've reopened several channels on Discord but do not yet have everything configured. Feel free to join us there though! In the coming weeks, we will transition to the Server Guide feature with configurable alerts/channels. STAFF UPDATE: As a matter of formality, our team now consists of: @ Tony -> Lead Administrator @ James -> Administrator @ Logan_Rocks -> Senior Moderator @ Cookie Monster -> Moderator @ GradientWizzard -> Moderator View full release

  23. From everyone here at WebFlake, wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Obligatory note that support/file approvals may be a bit slow over the next few days, but rest assured we'll work through any backlogs as soon as we're all back. If you do travel, please be safe. ???
  24. Group Name Indicator. We use 5.3.
  25. @P1RATEOkay, dude. I'm going to stop you right here. I'm fine with taking inspiration. I'm not okay with you effectively copy/pasting our entire site. I'm locking this topic and any future support topics from you will require a link to your website to verify you're not still attempting to copy/paste. And FYI, support for Store products is not a guarantee and this much is disclosed during the purchase and in the ReadMe file.
