    Damn, almost cried

Marley & Me is an incredible movie.. my wife and I loved it, and never hesitate to watch it when it's on. We're both dog lovers, and own three.
  2. Pro tip: You may already own a domain, however, if you head over to GoDaddy and purchase a low-tier DNS (such as a .us or .info), you can earn a free $50 credit for Bing/Facebook (each). Low-end domain extensions are generally very cheap (something like $2, if that). You can even use this code (CJCFWD35F) at checkout for 35% off. (Yep, I have cool codes like that.) Essentially, not only will you own an extra domain with your chosen name, but you'll have some free credits to use!
  3. Users who have the hook installed with their IPB 3.4.x package, may have noticed an oddity with their View New Content page (something similar to the image below): If you are experiencing this issue, it is caused by the aforementioned hook. You'll need to make one small edit and you'll be all set. Navigate to: <Your IPB Root>/Hooks/tbGfSkinSearch_xxxxx.php [*]The "xxxxx" substitutes the string of random characters attached to your file. Find this line: $data['last_poster'] = $data['last_poster_id'] ? IPSMember::makeProfileLink( TBGroupFormat::makeNameFormatted( $data, $data['last_poster_name'], $data['last_poster_group'], 'last_poster_id' ), $data['last_poster_id'], $data['seo_last_name'] ) : $this->settings['guest_name_pre'] . $data['last_poster_name'] . $this->settings['guest_name_suf']; ... and replace it with this: /*$data['last_poster'] = $data['last_poster_id'] ? IPSMember::makeProfileLink( TBGroupFormat::makeNameFormatted( $data, $data['last_poster_name'], $data['last_poster_group'], 'last_poster_id' ), $data['last_poster_id'], $data['seo_last_name'] ) : $this->settings['guest_name_pre'] . $data['last_poster_name'] . $this->settings['guest_name_suf'];*/ Save your edit, and refresh your page -- fixed! I strongly recommend downloading a copy of the file, making the edit, and then re-uploading it to avoid any issues with the upload. Editing the file inside of FTP programs such as Filezilla is not always efficient. [*]Credits to Paradiizee for working with me to find a fix for this. Be sure to thank him! [*]Please Note: This is only a temporary fix until the hook's original author makes the appropriate updates for full 3.4.x support.
  4. For many years, I was a huge fan of xenForo -- granted, during that time period, XF was actually being developed on a fairly consistent basis. After gambling and introducing myself to IPB about 2 years ago, I've been obsessed with it. It offers all of the same features as XF (notably profiles, comments, real-time updates, etc).. while offering a far more intuitive ACP and the best security measures available (as alluded to by Justin). vBulletin is more of a "corporate" software. It is bare-bone software with a few desirable features, but hardly on the same level as IPB.
  5. As I posted in another thread... I don't have much personal experience in the way of offshore hosting or any of the goofy resellers that have been cropping up lately, but I can say I've been a longtime customer of GoDaddy without any issues. I have about seven different domains, all using a variety of nulled content, and even rent a dedicated server from them that runs emulation software. Most of the agents can be inquisitive, but it's more harmless curiosity than anything. You can purchase their Economy shared hosting package, for $5.99/mo.. which includes: [*]24/7 tech support [*]99.99% uptime [*]Unlimited bandwidth [*]100 GB space [*]10 MySQL databases [*]100 free email addresses [*]$50 credit for Bing/Facebook Ads (each) [*]One-click application installation (WordPress, Joomla, phpBB, SMF, MyBB, MediaWiki, etc) Right now.. you can take their promo offer which is $2.99/mo.. and everything I listed above, simply isn't matched by offshore hosts or any of the resellers posting in this thread. There is always a risk involved with onshore hosting, but GoDaddy receives a lot of flak for small business complications from years ago.. They take care of their customers, offer quality support/hardware for unbelievably affordable prices, and turn a blind eye when needed. Call me a "fanboi", but I have yet to be disappointed by their service. If you spend cheap, expect cheap.
  6. It's always best to utilize the latest release.. primarily for needed bug corrections, as well as security updates and exploit fixes. IPB 3.3.4 was a fairly stable release, but 3.4.x introduced a handful of new features and a ton of new security.

    Hello this is weird

WebFlake continues to expand rapidly every day.. and it'll only continue to get better. The entire demeanor and overall direction of the community is far better than ForumCore, tenfold. Not to knock on 'ole FC, but I'm excited for WebFlake's potential. Welcome to WF!
  8. The first one is a little over the top (and probably staged), but either way.. an epic proposal.
  9. Yes, but the only ones I'm aware of are boards that either offer nulled/"pirated" content, or sites with a member count numbering in the thousands. For a few hundred users for anything un-related to file sharing, it's not likely they'll waste their time tracking you down.
  10. CodeCanyon has a few nifty systems.. I haven't purchased any of them yet, otherwise I'd share 'em. http://codecanyon.net/item/registration-system-with-invitations/603208http://codecanyon.net/item/login-registration-with-premium-membership/2979092One for WordPress: http://codecanyon.net/item/ajax-loginregistration-bar-wordpress/3675923
  11. I wouldn't touch a VPS not offered by an accredited company, let alone one that is offshore. No protection, no guarantees, and most of all, crap latency and hardware. If you spend cheap, expect cheap. Period.
  12. ACP > Forums > Post Attachments > Attachment Types Should take effect with IP.Downloads as well.
  13. For the sake of future readers, a nulled copy of 3.4.2 is available on WebFlake, here:
  14. Not sure I follow...? I'm referencing the location of the file, not whether the tutorial itself is difficult or not. You're simply commenting out two different sections, of course it's easy. When I glanced at the opening line, my initial reaction was to check the ACP.
  15. I've been using nulled content with GoDaddy for a few years, without an issue. Hell, I'm an affiliate/partner, even! I have yet to test the waters by using retail content without a license, however. Worst case scenario, an onshore host forces you to shut your site down. You won't be slapped with fines or anything of the sort (unless of course, your site is somehow inflicting monetary loss to IPS). As for why people use nulled content.. try-before-buy, or maybe the simplest answer is: pricing. xenForo was a lifetime license when I nabbed it.. IPS requires yearly renewals for upgrades and that is simply ridiculous.
  16. Justin™, might want to edit the OP just to clarify that users should be doing these edits via an FTP, not the Admin CP. I read this last night at 4am and even confused myself. Thanks for the tutorial!

    William Hung!

Evarni has inspired me to offer some more interesting tidbits of comedy.. this next video is a performance from a little known comedian by the name of Pablo Francisco... and throughout the video, he does his best impressions of William Hung, Casey Kasem (longtime radio broadcaster), and a few others.. if you know any of the voices he does, you won't stop laughing.
  18. Funbag napkin... priceless.

    Taste The Rainbow

lol! I would vote for this to be used..
  20. After being the Best Man at a buddy's wedding last week, I was inspired to look at a few videos of goofy Best Man speeches. I came across one that is truly one of the most creative, and well-composed roasts of the Groom. Have a good laugh!
