Post/Topic Feed refreshes slow

pnurt

Question

Hello!

I'm running your version of IPS 4.2.6, and I noticed that the Post Feed and Topic Feed refreshes really slow...

It takes about 4 minutes after making a post/topic before it shows up in the Post/Topic Feed on the sidebar.

Have I missed anything? (Old 3.4.X user, recently moved to 4.2.X)

Glad for any kind of help :)

Edit: I've tried to disable plugins/apps/themes and running everyting as default as possible, yet it's slow.

So for me reading this your missing root.js or it does not have permission to read the root.js.

Also I think ips included jQuery but it seems it does not load on nwoule guess due root.js

Now since it does not load you will get the errors shown in the console.

Try re upload all files and overwrite all old ones

Now the topic is things are slow? Can you define slow? Like it only refreshes every 30 minutes or so? Or in what way is it slow? We are talking about different kinds of problems.

Nothing in your error log? That means that you've got permissions errors, where your Apache/nginx cannot write to the log. You need to get that sorted FIRST before anything else. Tell your host that nothing is showing up in your logs. Logs are the most important part of diagnosing any server-side problem.

This is an ugly problem, but if you want it fixed you've got to cover all the bases of what the issue might be. That's what webmasters do! ;)

I've set all folder ips to 755, but doesn't change anything.
And maybe u r right :\ i must contact my host.

Check out what @Cookie Monster said and then I'd contact your host. Setting permissions to 755 oftentimes fixes the problems, but sometimes the issue is with the service Apache/nginx/php-fpm not having proper permissions to write and access files on your website. I would tell that to your host, and send screenshots as well. Best of luck!
