What do you use for your computers security software? Do you use free or paid. What have you found works the best for you. I have a paid subscription to McAfee Internet Security which deals with everything, right down to scanning my Outlook 2019 emails. I have found this is the best Security for me. I used to use AVG Free and it was good for a free solution, but I don't think I would ever go back to a free security software now, it is restricted too much in what it does. What are your thoughts and what do you use?

What permissions do you have set to that file on the server?

Now what i am saying is that I have requested a file through the IPS Requests area. And then today I get a private message from another member sending me to another site to get that file. But when you get there you then have to pay for the file anyway. So trying to figure out if there is an actually policy about this.

Does WebFlake have an actual policy of someone sending a link via private message about a request in the IPS Requests. The think takes me to another site that I have pay for that plugin/application. I know the risks of going to another site anyway, but was wondering if WF actually has any policy relating to this. Thank you.

Glad you got it sorted. Some plugins can cause problems like that and it is a big pain. But at least you are all good now

Find and use your own icons, there are plenty on google. You also don't need a plugin for it. You can add a custom icon in the forum settings per forum area created.

Re-upload all the 4.4.4 files. I would recommend using FTP and doing it one file at a time. I know it is time consuming, but it will also make sure that all files are uploaded and not corrupted. After this re-run the support tool and hopefully this will fix the issues you are having. Also, what are you reverting the theme back to?

If you have changed back to the default IPS theme for 4.4.4, run the Support tool. Login to the ACP -- Support -- Something isn't working right and run it. This will clear the cache and run other checks. If you are still using the theme from 4.3.6 then you need to change it as that theme is not compatible with the latest version of IPS.

I have used BlueAngelHost before. And they are DCMA ignored and hosted offshore. There speed is pretty good. There support at times can be crap and they really don't know their English that well. But if you can handle things yourself, they are ok. Also if you use coupon code 25-OFF at checkout, for however long you are with them they will provide 25% discount every month, not just for the first month, but every month you are with them. Also support team appears really small and lacks knowledge in some hosting areas if you get stuck and need help. But as I said, if you can handle things yourself for a DCMA free offshore, and pretty cheap, it is worth a look. And FTR no I don't work for them, nor have I ever, nor will I ever. This is just my experience with them. I know others have had both good and bad experiences with them.

Login to your cPanel, go to your File Manager, and then find the application in the applications folder and delete it. If this doesn't work, restore a backup of your site. Which you should have done prior to doing any work on your forum.

Does anyone happen to have a copy of iAwards for IPS v 4.4 please. From what I understand the version for 4.3 doesn't work with 4.4. Thanks in advance for helping with my request.

Sounds like you installed the Retail version, you need to download and install Nulled version. It does not require a license key.

Are the user groups that are having this issue allowed to use and post html?

Change your PHP.ini file to allow the upload of more then 2MB. You can do this yourself through cPanel or ask your web host to do it for you.

I am using the Chameleon by IPSFocus theme on version 4.4.3 The follow button all around the forum has vanished so no one can follow any area of our forum. This is something that our staff need access too. How can I bring this back? Thanks in advance for any help.

It will not run on 7.0. Contact your web host to upgrade the PHP. And there is no need to use such large text at me when trying to help, that is just rude.

You need to use either version 7.1 or 7.2 of PHP or you will get the 500 Error. 7.2 is better. But can use 7.1. Change this in your cpanel account.

If this is an upgrade, I had the same problem and turned out to be one of my applications/plugins. Disable them all and turn them on one by one to see if this solves your issue. It is what my issue was when I upgraded to the latest version and got a 500 Error. If this is a fresh install, what PHP version is your website using?
