  6. I just installed a fresh copy of Forum Icons (DP32). I installed everything and uploaded everything. My forumicons folder - located at "uploads" is 777 for it's permission. But when I upload an Icon it shows it perfectly in ACP but now in forums. I'm using the skin called Underground.
  7. Anyone got any idea how to disable Highlighting on sites? There was a tutorial on ForumCore back then, where it showed how to disable highlight and copy. It basically meant disabling highlighting on your forum. If anyone could help me out, that'd be great!
  8. As you can see in my previous tutorial, I showed you how to enable that Facebook connect/login. In this this tutorial - it is basically the same thing but it there are some minor changes, which I think you guys can cope with? Ok let's start off by you creating a new application at Twitter. To do so visit this link: https://dev.twitter.com/apps ( make sure you're logged in ) After you've visited that link click on " Create a new application" button. Once you've clicked on " Create a new application" - you should be at the "Create an application" page. Under it you should see multiple options, which might looks not so promising. But not to worry! I got that all sorted. As you can see the first option will be "Name: *" In there, put your App's name - for tutorial's sake we'll put it WebFlakeCake, simple as that. Next you should see "Description: *" Just put a brief explanation about your site - an example could be: "The Source of Online Forums". After that you should see "Website: *" Now here, you will put your site's address - an example could be http://webflakecake.com. After that you should see "Callback URL:" Here, you should put your site's address ended with /index.php - an example could be: http://webflakecake.com/index.php SIMPLE as that. Once you're done with that scroll down and agree to the T.O.S of Twitter and fill in the CAPTCHA. Then press the "Create your Twitter Application" button located at the very bottom. Once you've clicked on the "Create your Twitter Application" button, you SHOULD be redirected to your Apps control place. It should look something like this: Now where it says "Create my access token" click on it to create your unique access token. Once you've done that. Head over to Admin Control Panel (ACP). While you're in ACP go to System => System Settings. Now you should be located at the "System" tab. Scroll down until you find "Social Media and Sharing" click on it and it should redirect you to the "Settings: Social Media and Sharing" page. The first thing you should see is "Facebook Connect" - scroll down till you see "Twitter Connect". Under "Twitter Connect" the first choice should be "Enable Twitter Connect" make that is set to "Yes". After that the second choice should be "Twitter app: consumer key" - go back to your Twitter App and copy the "Consumer key". Once you've copied the "Consumer key" paste it, under "Twitter Connect" at: "Twitter app: consumer key". Once you've pasted that, do the same with "Twitter app: consumer secret". After that set the "Default member group" to "Members". Now scroll down and hit the "Update Settings" button and you should be good to go! If you got any questions/concerns please comment below. And If I forgot anything in the tutorial, please inform me ASAP and I will change it. And if you like my Tutorials, like my stuff. But other than that, GOOD LUCK!
  9. yeah well, I've got the list. Yeap, you herd me. Go to the nearest pizza shop. NOW.
  10. Glad you like my tut! I thought I had to share it right?
  11. Have you ever wondered how to enable Facebook connect/login to your site? As in, people log in to your site via Facebook? Not to worry! I've got the ultimate solution. In this tutorial, I'll teach ya'll how to get a Facebook login! Just follow my steps carefully and conscientiously, hence they are pretty straight forward. Let's start off by registering as a Developer at Facebook. To do so, visit this link: https://developers.facebook.com/ Once you have opened that link, click on the Register Now button located on the far right above corner. Once you click on Register Now, on step 1 - "Accept the terms." Tick Facebook Platform Policy and the Facebook Privacy Policy. Then the next step should be, "Verify your account." After verifying your account, The next step should be "Tell us about you." Fill that in - it should be an easy one. After that step you should be at "Build your integration." There, you lieterally don't need to do anything, just press "Done" on the right, down corner. Once you press "Done" It will ask for your Facebook's password for security reasons. Put your password word in again. And press "Continue". Once you've putted your password in again, you should be redirected to this page: Now as you can see on the far right above corner, there is a button called " + Create New App" click it. Once you click it - you should see something like this: Where it says "App Name [?] " Type in your App's Name. For this tutorial we'll put it, WebFlakeCake. Once you've done that, skip "App Namespace" and leave "Web Hosting" unticked. Then press "Continue". Once you press continue - Facebook will ask for a security captcha. Fill in the captcha and continue. And then you should be redirected to your App's control sector. It should look something like this: Now where it says "Website with Facebook Login" right under "Select how your app integrates with Facebook", click on it. And it should expand. Where it says "Site URL:" type in your site's name and it must be ended with "/index.php". So for this example it will be, "http://webflakecake.com/index.php" Just as simple as that. Once you've putted that CORRECTLY click on "Save Changes" - right under. Now for the easy bits... Go to your IPB's Admin Control Panel (ACP). Once you are in ACP go to "System" => "System Settings". Now in the System tab, scroll down until you see "Social Media and Sharing" Click on it and the first thing you should see is "Facebook Connect". Under Facebook Connect, the first option should be "Enable Facebook Connect" Make sure that saved on Yes. Then there should be "Application ID" now for this part we'll need to go back to Facebook and get our App ID. To do so, go to: https://developers.facebook.com/apps/ and on the left hand side you should be your App you just created, click on it. And now where it says " App ID/API Key" there should be a fifteen digit number. Highlight and copy that. Once you've copied that, go back to your ACP and remember we left on the Facebook Connect page, on that tab where it says "Application ID" paste the App ID you just copied via Facebook. Then you should see "Secret key" after "Application ID". In "Secret Key" you do the same as "Application ID" but you copy the "App Secret". After we're done with "Secret" you should see "Default member group" - set that to Members. After that you should see "Facebook "bot" group" - set that to "Guests". Then you should see "Facebook javascript "locale" leave that as it is. After that see "Facebook "Real name/Display name" handling" set that to "Allow User's Choice". Now after that, scroll all the way down and click on "Update Settings". And that should enable Facebook connect for your site and it SHOULD work . Thanks for reading my tutorial, if you got any questions/concerns please comment in the comment section below and I will get back to you as soon as possible! And also if I forgot anything, I sincerely apologize. Just PM me it or as usual, comment to tell me it.
  12. Thanks for the TUT, btw this is my TUT, please give me some credit. Cheerios
  13. Alright, lets say that you are a blithering idiot and you completely forgot your ACP password after a wild party or something regarding that or anything else, but who knows. Anyhow in this tutorial I'll teach you how to get access back to your ACP and reset your password to something more appropriate for you brain. Alright, lets start off. Things you'll need: [*]FileZilla FTP Client ( or anyother ) [*]Access to FTP [*]A Brain Things you'll need to do, in order to get your access back. First off, you will need to change your ACP's like to something completely random. For this tutorial's purpose, we'll name it "webflakecake". ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- < SKIP THIS IF YOU KNOW HOW TO CHANGE YOUR ACP'S LINK > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Now if you don't know how to change your ACP's link you can do one of the following: The Harder Way: Go to your FTP client, login and go to /public_html & rename the admin dir, for test purposes we'll rename the admin dir to "webflakecake". Once admin dir is renamed go to "initdata.php" and right click then view/edit. Once "initdata.php" is opened press CTRL+F and type in if ( !defined( 'CP_DIRECTORY' ) ) and hit enter. Once you've found that, under it you should see { define( 'CP_DIRECTORY', 'admin' );} Now where it says admin ( AS DEFAULT ) rename that to something else, for this tutorial's purpose, we'll rename it to "webflakecake". Now close it and save it. Once you've done that your ACP link SHOULD be changed. Now test it before we continue. The Easy Way: Go to your FTP client, login and go to /public_html & rename the admin dir, for test purposes we'll rename the admin dir to "webflakecake". Now go to /public_html again and create a new file called "constants.php" Once that file is created, open it and add the following: <?phpdefine( 'CP_DIRECTORY', 'admin' ); Now where it says admin rename it to the thing you renamed your ACP dir to. And that was "webflakecake". So we will rename the admin to "webflakecake". Close it and press save. And viola! Your ACP dir/link SHOULD be changed, now before we continue check it, and see if it works. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- < SKIP THIS IF YOU KNOW HOW TO CHANGE YOUR ACP'S LINK > ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ok, now your ACP's link/dir is changed. Now you will need to remove the ACP's login, or should I say "BYPASS" it.. either way will do. To do so, do the following: Open: admin/sources/base/ipsRegistry.php and find: $validationStatus = self::member()->sessionClass()->getStatus();$validationMessage = self::member()->sessionClass()->getMessage(); Replace with: $validationStatus = true;#self::member()->sessionClass()->getStatus();$validationMessage = self::member()->sessionClass()->getMessage();self::$handles['member']->setMember(1); Replace the number 1 with the desired member ID to log in with all the time. After doing that, your ACP login SHOULD be disabled or removed. Now once that is done, head over to Members tab and find your profile, click on it. Now where it says, "Password" next to it, you should see a Pencil, click on that and type in your new password and re-type in your new password. And that SHOULD change your pass. Once that is done, your account should be restored and you should have access to ACP. BUT WAIT! You forgot to REMOVE the bypass for your ACP login. Even though the ACP's link is something completely random, there is always a creepy risk. To add the login back to your ACP, go to admin/sources/base/ipsRegistry.php and find: $validationStatus = true;#self::member()->sessionClass()->getStatus();$validationMessage = self::member()->sessionClass()->getMessage();self::$handles['member']->setMember(1); Replace With: $validationStatus = self::member()->sessionClass()->getStatus();$validationMessage = self::member()->sessionClass()->getMessage(); Close and save it. And that should bring back the ACP protection, as in login back. I hope this tutorial helped you guys. If you like this tut give me a +1, that wouldn't hurt . If I've done anything wrong in the tut, please mention in the comment section below so i can check on it, or you could PM me. Either way will do. Anyways, have a nice day and good luck! Tutorial made my me (Exterminator), completely from scratch. If you are going to use this tutorial, please give me some credit.
  14. Small poem ------------------------------------- Roses are red Violets are Blue WebFlake is awesome So are you! --------------------------------------- Now you guys gimme some small poems as well!
  15. I recently showed somone how to disable their ACP login so they can access their acc and reset pw. But when I come back home, I'll make a specific and more detailed tut on that. Catch ya guyz later...

  16. Some deep information here. Glad I got to know it.
  17. Alright so let's get this straight.. IF You got access to FTP, you life is saved. Follow the following ( if you got access to FTP ):You'll personally need to rename the admin dir to something completely different, that you only know and just made up. Once you've done that. You would want to remove your ACP login. So basically when you visit the ACP link, there will be no ACP login, you just "bypass" the login for ACP. To do that, do this:Open: admin/sources/base/ipsRegistry.php and find: $validationStatus = self::member()->sessionClass()->getStatus();$validationMessage = self::member()->sessionClass()->getMessage();Replace with:$validationStatus = true;#self::member()->sessionClass()->getStatus();$validationMessage = self::member()->sessionClass()->getMessage();self::$handles['member']->setMember(1);Replace the number 1 with the desired member ID to log in with all the time. Ok now ACP login is officially removed. BUT remember you "RENAMED" the admin cp and you only know what it is. Do go your admin cp link and there should be no login there. Now head over to members and choose your profile and override your password to something you will know more commonly. I hope I helped.
