You need to place the Chatbox widget by way of the Manage Blocks tab that displays on the forum index. See the image below: Don't use this plugin. It's awfully dysfunctional, unfortunately. Try this tutorial instead: Add a background image to the header This could be another dated plugin. Care to share the error?

First and foremost, on behalf of the entire team, we'd like to thank you for your patience and apologize for any inconvenience in our extended downtime. We have worked diligently to get the site back online as expediently as possible and hope that you'll continue to afford us that same patience as we continue updating and making adjustments to the site. Please be aware that there may have been oversight. If you find a discrepancy with previous permissions or any other bug on the site, please submit a bug report via our tracker. If you feel we are missing a feature (and I know we're missing a handful!), you're welcome to submit a suggestion using the same tracker, just select Suggestion as the Type before submitting the report. You can also find a mostly complete list of updates/changes to our website located at our new Update Notes hub. Rather than expecting you to sift through our Announcements forum, we will centralize our update notes in one convenient location. If you have submit a file on the site and have access to do so, please edit your file and correct any leftover BBCode. You'd be doing us a huge favor! Remember that some parts of the site may not be complete or entirely functional. Please report any and all bugs you encounter, especially those that are harmful to the site or its overall integrity (i.e. permissions you shouldn't have or significant glitches). We're aware that we are using a default skin. We have plans to put together a custom design in the near future but you'll simply need to tolerate the default design in the meantime.

At approximately 10am EST (2pm GMT), we will be taking WebFlake offline for maintenance and our official IPS4 upgrade. We expect the site to be offline for approximately six hours although we will certainly keep you posted in the event we need to extend the downtime. You can stay updated on our progress on social media: Facebook.com/WebFlakePage Twitter.com/WebFlakeSX See you on the other side!

ACP > System > Applications (under Site Features). Click the button and select the .tar file that came with the package; the file will automatically install. You'll need to make permissions adjustments to the application by clicking the icon next to the application name. There may be other configurations/permissions to adjust, so be sure to review the ReadMe file that comes with the release. You're comparing apples to oranges. ForumCore > WebFlake involved an entirely new database with a new domain. IPS3 > IPS4 involves software only. For the record, at no point was it suggested that any remnants of ForumCore would be implemented into WebFlake. The intention was always to start fresh.

IPB 3.x IP.Downloads can't upload .rar files
Tony replied to snaiperis118's question in Invision Support Archives
You also need to update the mime-type in Downloads > Customization > Mime Types. -
Wanted to take a moment and offer a genuine 'thank you' for those who have shown support and offered their feedback. You'll be pleased to know we're making significant headway through this testing phase and I feel comfortable enough to say I believe the official upgrade will be simple and efficient. We, the Staff and I, have started using project management tools to ensure we get this update done as quickly and smoothly as possible. We'll be using an official bug/suggestions tracker with the IPS4 release, based off of the official IPS4 design, for your use. We're all excited for what the future has in store for WebFlake!

Yes, in a way. Instead of a separate app, we now have (by default) an enhanced "follow" system that we can expand upon with a few plugins that allow you to select, specifically, what content you'll be alerted to when it is created by specific users. i.e. Say I follow you on IPS4. I can choose to receive notifications when you post a new topic, a response to a topic, and a status update. Or, if I really like someone's file submissions, I can choose to only be notified of their file submissions. Fancy stuff!

It should be, yes. -
IPB 4.x Can't install group collaboration app
Tony replied to Average Sam's question in Invision Support Archives
Yeah, that would be the problem then. Sorry. On the upside, I'll be releasing a nulled copy of 4.0.6 sometime today. -
IPB 4.x Can't install group collaboration app
Tony replied to Average Sam's question in Invision Support Archives
What version of 4.x are you using? This app's version is 1.1.2 and 1.1.4 was released to address compatibility issues with 4.0.3+. -
We've made a handful of changes to the team today and we're all very much excited about each of them. Please congratulate Saviour on his promotion to Moderator, officially completing his certification period as a Junior Moderator. He has been doing a phenomenal job in his previous role and we fully expect him to continue to flourish as a regular Moderator. Be sure to congratulate on his entry into the Junior Moderator program. He has been a fantastic asset in our support areas and we're excited to see what he can bring to the team in a Moderator capacity. Stake has assured me he will continue his efforts in the support area even in his new role. Sweden has proven to be an invaluable source of WordPress content, uploading seemingly swaths of premium content to our database. Given the value of his submissions and his trustworthiness, he was an obvious 'yes' when he applied for Uploader. On behalf of the team, we'd like to offer our most sincere gratitude for his efforts and congratulate him on his promotion to Uploader. To each of our newest additions, welcome to the team!

I beg to differ. An overwhelming majority of our current apps/hooks are either unsupported, outdated, or buggy. There are ample apps/plugins available for IPS4 as we speak. Skins are limited, that much is true but any of our custom skin releases are ripped mere days later, so that's hardly a pressing issue for me; we'll be just fine on the default theme for a few weeks. I wouldn't say upgrading now would be upgrading quickly given that the IPS4 Beta ended months ago. We're now just seven months away from IPS dropping support for the 3.x series, which puts us in a bit of a predicament. If we wait too long, we'll be far too unprepared to handle the transition.
-
I wholeheartedly agree but I do want to note that designing a custom theme would take time. We would likely need to work with the default theme, edit the color scheme, and make other adjustments to our liking. Not the worst thing in the world as I personally find the default theme aesthetically pleasing. We've been working on a test board in the background, doing a dry run upgrade. Essentially, I'd like to upgrade a dummy copy of WebFlake to the latest copy (4.0.5.1), install all necessary or desired applications and plugins, ensure smooth functionality and then perform a live upgrade with a backup on hand just in case. Virtually every hook/app we use now is available in some form or another for IPS4; or at least better alternatives. We certainly can't put our future on hold for a few apps/hooks that may or may not be upgraded for 4.x either. I also want to mention, for clarification purposes, that I'm of the opinion that the longer we wait to upgrade, the worse off we'll be. It'll leave us hand-tied with simple daily tasks as we try to get used to the new mechanics of IPS4 and provide support for our users as well; it'd be an awful lot of work. I'd much rather be upgraded in the coming week or two, giving us ample time to work on our site, make needed adjustments, and then prep for the influx of users we're sure to get when 3.4.x support is officially dropped by IPS. Of the votes cast thus far, 33% of them had no idea 3.4.x support was being dropped by IPS. That means a lot of folks are going to be upgrading last-minute, so the better prepared we are, the better off we are.

There has been an awful lot of internal discussion the last few days regarding IP.Board 4.x and WebFlake's future with the 4.x series. I'm not going to disclose many details about those discussions but what I would like to do is poll the community (yet again) for their opinions on IP.Board 4.x. These are the three topics we would greatly appreciate your input on: Will you upgrade to IP.Board 4.x? We're interested in knowing how many of our members are planning to upgrade to IP.Board 4.x, if at all. Whether you plan to upgrade tomorrow, next week, or months from now, we want to know what the level of interest is in IP.Board 4.x! As you know, we've already expanded our IP.Board categories to support the 4.x series content but this doesn't give us much information in the way of gauging interest. Feel free to explain in a response why you are, or are not, upgrading to 4.x. Would you like to see WebFlake upgrade to 4.x? How do you, the community, feel about WebFlake upgrading our site to IP.Board 4.x? Please consider the impact 4.x will have, positively or negatively, on the community regardless of your own personal feelings toward the 4.x series. We're curious how many users would support WebFlake upgrading to 4.x sooner rather than later, or how many of our users would prefer us to stick with our current 3.4.6 edition. Were you aware IPS intends to drop support for the 3.x series? Another topic we've been discussing, is whether or not the community is generally aware that IPS intends to cease any and all support for the IP.Board 3.x series as of January 2016. Naturally, they intend to offer security fixes until April of 2016 but beyond that, support and content will cease to exist. We figure that this may greatly impact our community's desire to upgrade their own projects to 4.x and it may even impact how they feel about WebFlake's current stance of sticking with 3.4.6. For a bit of clarity (and because most of you know by now), I fully support WebFlake transitioning to IP.Board 4.x as early as this month. There has been some concern that many of our members would disapprove of WebFlake upgrading to 4.x. Speaking on behalf of myself only, I don't see why anyone would feel that way so if there is anyone out there who does, please enlighten us in a response. Note: WebFlake upgrading to 4.x does not mean we will drop support for 3.4.x. We will continue to offer content for and support the 3.4.x series. If WebFlake does not upgrade to 4.x, I fail to see the reason to continue supporting 4.x as using dated software not only limits our personal experience with the product but it would look foolish. Please be sure to cast your vote for all three questions. We also welcome discussion and feedback!

Hiya, folks! Just wanted to provide a small update on some quality of life updates I've been making to the site. Most of this benefits the team more than you but there's some value in it for you too! Added complete functionality for emoticon and BBCode usage in statuses as well as profile cards and feeds. Users can no longer post links of any kind, including http, www, com, net, etc in statuses. This is an effort to alleviate prohibited advertising and bot spam. We've finally upgraded our Member Notes application. If Staff deems it necessary, we now have an option to inform you when we add a note to your account. If you receive a notification that a note has been attached to your account, you can view it by opening My Notifications in your profile settings and clicking on the note's timestamp. Added a new notification on the file submission page that reminds our users that files will not be approved instantaneously. See a preview of it HERE. Added a new alert on the Compose New Message page to remind users not to send unsolicited requests to Staff for support, content, etc. Upgraded our Friends Online application, which will now sort friends by their session time. Demo and VirusTotal links, as well as version compatibility are now hidden on the file index page due to page stretching. You can still view this info via the file's page. We will continue to release minor QOL updates in the meantime, at least until we officially upgrade to IPB 4.x!

Please congratulate Kingy on his promotion to Head Moderator! Kingy has been with us for some time now, obviously, and I'd like to surround Phun and I with people we can trust with important roles. Kingy will now split duties and responsibilities with TJKeeran going forward. I'm excited for this promotion; can never have enough depth at any position! Sports analogies aside, be sure to give Kingy the warm welcome he deserves with this promotion.

Funnily enough, our server is located overseas so connectivity shouldn't be a problem. As I mentioned to you in our PM, the problem is not with our database or our server. You (and your brother) seem to be the only ones having an issue. When three members of this team can download the file without any hiccups, it's clearly not a problem with WebFlake. I've looked at your download log and can see you have downloaded files of similar size so it's not likely your network causing problems. Are you absolutely certain you're not using some sort of download accelerator or download manager? Our system will detect that and terminate connection (which is what this sounds like).

We don't currently support WBB however, I wouldn't rule out support for it in the future. As file sharing outside of our downloads system is expressly prohibited, I'll be locking this topic.

We want to cut down on the clutter with multiple skins. We'll be maintaining this as a secondary skin and moving to a newer, more modern skin as our default in the future. Sorry!
