  6. Assuming that you are talking specifically about website administration and design, like Davlin said you can make some pretty good money with game servers. The trick with this is to select a game that isn't oversaturated. For example, Davlin brought up Minecraft. Starting a brand new Minecraft server right now is probably not the best idea, because there are so many of them, you'll get lost in the shuffle. If you have tons of content (and I do mean tons) you can use a donation system. Unfortunately, so many "webmasters" throw a donation system on their site with little to no content - and people just take the webmaster (rightfully so) as a scammer and leave. So if you're going to use donations - you better have something worth donating to. People will not donate to promises and potential. Using advertising is a great way to make money on your site as well. You can either see your own ad space or use something like Google AdSense. This takes quite a bit of patience. Unless you're very lucky, it can take a year or two before you see any cash flow . . and that's only if you bust your hump and give people a reason to visit your site each and every day. The bottom line is this. Unless you're willing to have patience and work really hard on your website over a long period of time, you're never going to make any money on it. You have to build up your site's content and reputation before you will see any dough.

  8. While I certainly do appreciate your dedication and passion for WebFlake, your post above is immature and counterproductive. I'm just being honest here. Yes, ForumVolt borrows heavily from WebFlake. So what? They say that imitation is the most sincere form of flattery - and it's obvious that FV is infatuated with WF! But in all seriousness, they have their little space on the web - and we have ours. In the end, these flame attacks and DDOS attacks have to stop. I don't condone them and I certainly don't appreciate them. Our main focus is on maintaining WebFlake. Yes, we're aware that there are copycat sites. It's really not a big deal.

  10. You may not like what I have to say, but I am going to say it anyway . . . . again. Asking random people for forum ideas is not only a recipe for failure, it is an excellent indication that you shouldn't be building a forum in the first place. Let me explain. When you build a forum, it is very important that its topic is something that you are passionate and knowledgeable about. It is also important that the topic will hold your interest over a long period of time. There is a simple reason for this . . . when a forum opens, you will be its first and only member. That being said, it is 100% up to you to start placing content on your forum. It is hard work opening a new forum. It takes dedication and patience to add lots of new content to a new forum on a daily basis. So choosing a forum topic is critical to the success of your forum. Even with a good topic that you're passionate about, building a good forum is tough to do. Asking random people what kind of forum you should make . . it makes building a successful forum nearly impossible.

  13. Best solution - removed donator tracker. It is silly to put it on that site. Just my honest opinion.

  20. I like the theme quite a bit. One look at the theme and there's no doubt that it's a Minecraft site. On an unrelated note, however, I must say something about your sidebar hooks. The Staff Online Now hook is probably the single dumbest hook ever developed. It is a total waste of space, especially when put at the top of the sidebar. In addition, I would move Recent Topics above Status Updates. Members and visitors will visit your website to view content - and most could care less about status updates.
  21. Seems to me that you would need to put it flush-left in the .psd
