If your IPS version is 4.2, I believe (2.1.6) would work. It's the latest version for 4.2 that we have in the Downloads section:

A very outdated version. Try upgrading your chatbox to this new version (3.1.1):

After you've installed the chatbox, you have to do the following steps: In Forums -> Chatbox -> Setting, you must change the permissions accordingly. After setting the permissions, open the Block Manager on any page and add the chatbox widget. Type into the text input box and post anything you'd like.-
