  6. Username: Hoboe First Name: Logan Age: 19 Rate your English out of 10: 9/10 Additional languages spoken: I've had some experience with Spanish. If I were to rate my Spanish it would be 5/10 Software specialization: IP.Board has been my main software specialization, I have been working with IPB since I started using "Forums". I have lots of knowledge on IPB. IPB skills: I have 3 main skills with IPB: I know how to install and work many of the "Plug-ins" / "Applications" that make the website what it is. Examples: Award system, Donate, and Shoutbox. IPB has a lot to do with coding, I know how everything works in that part of IPB. I've been practicing with coding and IPB since I was 17. There are many type's of skins for IPB out there. I have worked with some of the best skin creators out there. I have a lot of knowledge on skins and how they are developed. XenForo skills: I have worked with XenForo a little bit, but I'm definitely not specialized in it. I know how to set up the basic stuff to where the site is able to use. vBulletin skills: vBulletin is pretty simple to use. I have worked with a few websites using vBulletin. I know how to use the control panels and how to install different "Plug-ins" / "Applications" to the website. I also am very good with skins on vBulletin. WordPress skills: WordPress is a very complex software, I have worked with a friends parents who owns a website making business. They use WordPress as one of there main software. I know a bit of the coding and how to make parts of the website using WordPress. WordPress uses a lot of coding. I'm not the best at it but I have some experience with it. HTML / CSS skills: In the past me and my brother had a lawn mowing business we would take a lawn mower around town and mow peoples lawn, after a while me and my brother became popular in the town and we were making lots of money. We decided to take it a step further and make a website using "HTML" me and him started reading a book on how to use and make a website using "HTML". We started the website out good. But for some reason me and my brother lost interest in the business, but though out that time I gained a bunch of knowledge on how to code a website in "HTML". I know how to start the homepage and everything using "HTML". Other qualifications: I have also used a software called "Dreamweaver" its a program that codes everything for you, in this software all you have to do is insert everything you want with the website. And it codes it for you. It's a pretty simple program but I know a lot about it. What can you bring to the team? I can bring more activity into this website, It looks like it needs some more active members. But in my opinion this website has very smart staff members. They all have probably twice the knowledge on software's then me, but I can bring more knowledge into the team. We would be able to work together, I can teach you new things you can teach me new things and we can help the members through out WebFlake. In my opinion putting me into the team could bring this website back to where it was when it was active.

    Intro

Yea, I figured that I would at least add something about IP.Board in there.
  9. My name is Logan and I've been on and off this site since the beginning of 2010. I've had a few accounts here and there, but I never really started getting active because I was going to start college. I started playing games in 2008 on the Xbox 360, so I'm fairly new to gaming. Why the Xbox you ask? Well, it was the only thing my friend ever talked about. I bought one, lots of games, some membership and a whole bunch of other overpriced Microsoft related garbage. I was quite happy playing games on it, I even went for every achievement possible to get. The friend that brought me into Xbox gaming and I had an argument in Fall 2009; we didn't speak after that. In 2010 not even a year after the argument, I began viewing linear, heavily scripted games like Call of Duty, Halo, Gears of War, and Battlefield as a waste of time; a game built for an idiot. It's linear, boring, and all you do is kill people. Red dead redemption came out in 2010 and I loved it, I'm sure everybody loved it who owned a gaming box. It was great, I did tons of glitches, got level 50-5th Legendary a few times, gold guns, I really enjoyed it. Fall 2010 came around and I decided to pick up Fallout: New Vegas, considering Fallout 3 is my favorite game. I absolutely loved it at the time. Although, it felt cheesy with it's western cowboy feel. To this day Fallout 3 is still my favorite game and probably always will be. The end of 2011 was nearing and the new thing to talk about was Skyrim. I didn't get it, probably because I never played an Elder Scrolls game before. I just brushed it off and continued playing the 3 games: Red Dead Redemption, Fallout 3 and Fallout New Vegas. Saints Row The Third was stirring up some drama, so I decided to pick it up. It was fun, while it lasted. Although, I thought Volition and THQ were terribly greedy with all of their downloadable content. I had some great times on that game with my friends though. The beginning of 2012 was an interesting time on Grand theft auto IV. Script mods were just starting to be handed out to average players. I managed to get lucky and get script mods before many people. It was amazing having the ability to spawn any car and kill people with a click of the keyboard on such a simple device. Script mods started getting more involved with more and more features in the months to come. I must have burnt at least 50 disks! Anyways, as the months went on more and more people started getting modifications and with mods; comes freeze cars. It came to the point where Grand theft auto IV's public online was unplayable. Summer 2012 came and I got to see my friend that had moved away back in 2010. By the way, this friend was once friends with the friend I had an argument with; he didn't agree on what the other friend was doing either. We lounged around, went to the movies a couple times, the beach nearly gave us cancer, and a little Busch Gardens here and there. My friend was obsessed with my Red Dead Redemption ISO mods, so he basically messed around with those the entire month of June. He would play all night long and when I woke up, I would normally play. One night he got my kill streak to 666, I couldn't just leave it at that. About 2 hours later after killing Mexicans in Chuporosa I finally got it to 993. A few days later I wanted to pick up a game for the hell of it. One summer afternoon, I picked up a copy of LA Noire for the 360. After playing it for awhile I stood there and wondered to myself "Why the f*** didn't pick this game up in 2011?" A few months later in October well after my friend left, I was browsing the web one day and found a site called TheTechGame. I thought it was an interesting name for a site, so I signed up. I tested the staff a bit to see if they were anything like the TechGame or XpGamesave's staff. They weren't corrupt and they actually followed the rules, most of the time. So, I decided to stay. The 20th of December came around and I was sitting there with a glass of Pepsi in my hand a little anxious about North Korea's silly nuclear threats. January 1st came and nothing really happened. January 21st, my birthday finally came and I wanted a "capable" PC. One month later on the 21st of February, I got the PC I'm using for $800.00 minus all the customization features I decided to get, that I really didn't need. I signed up for Steam and got Fallout New Vegas, Fallout 3, Grand theft auto IV Complete Edition, RAGE, Portal and Portal 2(ALL DLC included) for about $35.00. That would have cost me over $120.00+ on the consoles. I was happy, I could play most of these games on High-Ultra without a problem. The PlayStation 4 was announced the same week, I didn't complain although it wouldn't mattered of I did, considering I'm now enjoying the luxury of playing games on a computer. A few months down the road I was still playing on both the Xbox and PC. So, on the day of the new Xbox's launch, I decided to tune in. The entire time I had my jaw dropped while I was watching it, laughing. I hopped onto the internet a few hours later to see Angry Joe complaining about it. Most people still hate it to this day. I decided to buy Skyrim a little bit later, I was shocked. I spent hours in the woods chasing butterflies not even caring. I thought it was one of the most amazing games I ever played. I really enjoyed it, until I realized I need a specific patch to use my save. This wouldn't have been a problem for most people, but I like to use the product I bought no matter what patch I'm on. It angered me to the point of not wanting to put more hours into it. To this day, I don't really play it that often, but I wouldn't mind playing it again! Summer 2013 came and my friend returned. He returned to see that I'm now gaming on the PC, a shocker to him considering up until then he had done all his gaming on a console. He was astounded on how high quality the graphics looked. At the time I was heavily into creating a new, perfect save for Fallout 3. After playing Fallout 3 in between the trips to Busch Gardens for about a week, I realized that there's a collection of modifications I have access to at my finger tips. I downloaded tons of mods from the Fallout Nexus. Me and my friend messed around with these modifications for weeks. About a week before my friend left to go back home he wanted to say hi to the friend that we had an argument with just about 4 years ago. I rejected the idea at first, but my friend persisted. He made daily trips to his house and left me here to play Fallout 3 alone. So, after about 3 days of these trips I decided to stop by. I walked into his house to see he has been gaming on the PlayStation. He owned two of my most hated games; Call of Duty and Battlefield. I was a little disgusted, but I sat there and chatted with him and my other friend. We both hated Call of Duty, but my friend enjoyed shooting guns into people in Battlefield, for some reason. A few days after my friend left, I've been stopping by my old friend's house for more than a week without him now. Over months of July-September we cached up on everything from political views to religion. We agreed and disagreed on somethings, but he's a decent guy. However, his mind was dead set on buying a PlayStation 4, for some reason. On the days following September 17th, I watched tons of live streams of Grand theft auto V with my friend over the internet. September 17th came and I went to old friend's house to watch him play it and to play it a little myself. I mostly drove around the entire length span of the map with a big rig with Trevor while he was sleep listening to "Star Dust - Music sounds better with you" It was great! After playing through the game my friend was a little ungrateful though. Saying that he has nothing to do after he finished the game. I tried explaining to him that it's Grand theft auto V; the most revolutionary game made to date; get creative! However, he wouldn't listen. A few weeks later Grand theft auto Online launched, but my friend wasn't lucky enough to get in. A few days later I knocked on his door and he didn't answer. I left, came back the next day, nothing. On the third day, I got into his house. I'm not going to say how I did get into his house, because he could be reading this, but I got in to see him playing Grand theft auto Online half ****d while eating food. He was angry and looked as if he hasn't slept in a few days. Upon sitting down I was shocked, Online looked insanely fun. A few days passed and most of time I spent while not there, was here on WebFlake. Finally he got sick of Online to the point of allowing me to play, I loved it. Of course, this was about 2 weeks after online launched. After Grand theft auto V, me and my friend were debating on what machine he should buy. I persisted he buy a personal computer, but for some reason he wouldn't. The next day, I came back to find out he had a change of heart and he's now buying a PC. I guess he had a conversation with his PlayStation friends about the topic. I was actually happy for him on deciding to buy a PC. He's still deciding on what his exact specs are going to be, but let's just hope that he doesn't have another change of heart. Lastly I'm also a huge fan of IP.Board. That brings us to where we are now November 7th, 2014. If you read it, I'm happy you found this interesting enough. Thanks for taking the time to read.
