I think the default skin looks quite nice actually, most of you are probably just used to seeing the skins with 10,000 different gradients... Either way, nobody within their right mind uses the default skin anyways, so it really shouldn't matter to most. The current way it's setup seems like a good framework for making your own.

I would ditch the blue background and the rounded borders. Otherwise, looks nice.

The release is imminent, I'm expecting it will release sometime this week. I might wait a month or two and just put a dev board up for myself so I can update my skins and stuff.

4.0 is completely rewritten in regards to templates and the backend coding. It's literally from the ground-up. 99.9% of skins, hooks, and applications will break completely, so yes, it's going to be a bit of a mess for us developers to attend to. I'm excited though, IPB could really use the loads of new features and the complete rewrite.

Looks good so far, keep up the good work! Really interested in seeing the finished product. I also think you should do multiple color schemes of this skin, like a blue, grey, etc.

Intel, I just don't find AMD processors really even competitive with processors like the i7. AMD has better integrated graphics, and a better price tag, though.

Does anyone recall how the downloads system was done on FC? I think it was similar to what we have now, but my memory is escaping me.

ForumCore had a very strong sense of community. I don't know why that died on WebFlake... It's just, odd. I feel like we lost a lot of good people with the domain change. Even though an email was sent out, a lot of people had emails that didn't even work I'm sure, or they were just temporary emails. I'm not sure what it was about FC that made it a great community to participate in (socially), but whatever it was, it was done very well.

I'm pretty firmly convinced that IPB 4.0 will kill XF in terms of features and functionality, so I would choose IPB if I were you. Sure, XF has loads of mods, but is that a good thing? The more mods there are, the more you know how many features are missing from the core software. XF is great but IPB is just better in so many ways.

4.0 will be nulled, no doubt. IPS already said they have no plans in place to encrypt the software or anything at this point, and I doubt they ever will, so you can count on retail and nulled copies popping up very shortly after release.

Recache your forum, as well as rebuild CSS and HTML. Works for me.

I've never been a big fan of them. IMO it kinda looks unprofessional and you guys just shouldn't do it in the first place. If people don't want to follow the rules, warn them, suspend them, or even permaban them, but the reminders do nothing but clog up the announcements forum with stuff that isn't of particular value (we have the rules already, so...). If people don't want to listen then just deal with them appropriately, I'm sure you have all learned that it is literally impossible to get the message to the stupid people on the internet (aka all the idiots who need the reminder). Just a thought.

Does anyone have some easy and quick ways to make some money? I have around $540 and I want to buy an $800 laptop for gaming and all the stuff I do. Any suggestions? I don't want to do the survey stuff, it's frustrating and takes forever.

Oh, are you trying to make it look like the profiles from 3.1 and below? If so, nice. I always liked the way those were styled.
