Firefox. Much more developer friendly than Chrome, and it also has a better feel to it. It's also faster than Chrome (for me at least). I used Chrome for a month or two, but it was constantly crashing, so I went back to FireFox.
IP.Content or Unreal Portal is probably what you're looking for if you want something for articles. WordPress is nice too I guess, but yeah, it would be too much work compared of just installing IP.Content or something.

Carbon is a premade skin for IPB 3.x and is named after its carbon
textures which are obvious throughout the skin. The background image is
fixed in the same position, even if the page is scrolled - and the
background image can easily be changed which can effectively affect the
entire theme of the skin. The skin has a slightly customized profile
view, and comes with psd files for the banner, new post icons, post
buttons and topic buttons.
This hook will render
your member titles as full on HTML. With it, you will be able to add images and
whatever other HTML within member titles. When using this hook, make sure that
you have not allowed your members to change their own member title unless you
absolutely trust your members. Doing so allows them to inject any HTML into your
webpage that they want and this is a security risk.
This hook will work with both threaded and linear [plus] modes of thread
display.
[AH30] Reputation will enhance the default IP.Board 3 reputation system, bringing in some features from the popular [AH23] Reputation System.
For the first release, we have introduced a new side bar hook, the ability to see who has 'repped' you, and the ability to attach a short message when you give a reputation point.
New in this point release is the addition of the same side bar hook in the profile view, and we have now given you a lot more control over what is shown!
Go to ACP > Look & Feel > Post Content > Emoticon Management (I think ?).
Try deleting all the old ones, and re-caching them again.
Also, try clearing your browser's cache.
Nonononono, not on the sidebar. The actual tabs at the top. http://mxcut.net/i/72d23.png EDIT: Never mind, it's on the sidebar too. o.O It's probably the version you downloaded.
Did you check under the Members tab? ACP > Members > Group name Indicator It won't be listed in the Other Apps tab if you were looking for it there. And if it's not there, try re-installing every and re-uploading all the files and the hook.
