Alternatively, one of the easiest ways without purchasing the hook above is to have a group that only has access to post in the introduction forum (but can see all the other forums, just have no post privileges) then have it set to automatically promote the user after the first post (Which will be in the introduction forum) so the user then has permission to post in the rest of the forums.

Thanks,

Any tips on how to set that up ??

he's right i should of thought of it, to tired it think, but just set a group up which is basically identical to the members group (basically this is the group there going to be promoted to) and on the original members group set the forum permissions to introduce yourself forum and set the rest of the forums to show and read topics but don't select another other boxes like create a topic, reply etc... just show and read topics then once you've done that group go back to the other group and make sure the permissions are set to all or what ever you want (basically your member group default permissions) and in the orinigal members group with the permission set to introduce yourself only click that group and choose Posted Image

and where it says promote member of this group to your identical members group and where it says when they reach put in 1 approved posts and that should be it

I'm glad that has been a equally good solution for you.

If you need any help as well, i'll be here to help a hand too, but i'm sure HSBC will have it covered! :)

Also, to make it clear to your members that they'll only be allowed to post in the Introduce Yourself section before being able to post in the rest of the community and access other features use the following hook or something similar:

You can then say something along the lines of:

"Hello there fellow member and welcome to <Forum Name>. Why not introduce yourself to the community? To get access to posting privileges in all forums then head over to the Member's Introduction Section and Introduce yourself!"

Hope this has opened more options for you other than using the paid hook posted by HSBC.

Thanks,

Kingy

Just a note , though this is marked answered, I couldn't successfully help the user, Coz he decided to buy the respective plugin.
