IPB now supports custom forum icons by default. 
Edit the forum you would like to add the custom forum icon:

However it is a paid hook. You would be best to make a request thread as somebody may already have the hook.

You now need to alter the permissions for users who haven't verified their account yes as, as soon as you create an account you are faced with a "You do not have permission for that. You are not allow to view this community"

If you want to tell the user why they are banned upon logging in, this hook may do just the job. http://community.invisionpower.com/files/file/5749-ban-reason-view/
 
With a bit of customization you can make the page look nicer along with the custom message indicating why they are banned. 
 
We don't currently have it here on webflake (as far as i'm aware) but I'm sure somebody will be able to upload it if you create a requests topic.

Unfortunately, you do not meet the correct amount of posts to make a request which is 15.

You will need to edit the language string "pre_pinned" in "core_public_global" in the ACP.
 
ACP > Look & Feel > Manage Languages
 
You may need to unlock your language packs, to do this you need to do the following:
 
1. Navigate to your ACP
2. Hover over the Support Tab on your ACP nav bar
3. SQL Management > SQL Toolbox
4. Scroll to the bottom and put the following query in the "Run Query" Textbox
UPDATE core_sys_lang SET lang_protected = 0 WHERE lang_protected = 1 That should work for you.
