Upload all files except what

Hi everyone. My site is giving me a warning saying version 4.2.8 is available. Ive downloaded the files but need some advice please. I upload all the files overwriting existing files....except which ones. Which files must not be overwritten. Or is there an update article available. Ive searched the forums for updating guides but my search comes up with nothing. Thanks everyone hope someone can point me in the right direction.

Hi Star i did exactly what you advised. I turned off every plugin and checked and the problem was solved. I then re enabled every plugin one by one and checked everytime to see if the problem was fixed and it turned out a plugin called "Your posts from chatbox" was the offending pluging causing this problem. Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction much appreciated indeed.

So question us still the same what did you install after upgrade or dud you enable anything. 

 

IF YOU not sure try disabling all plugins applications and enable them 1by 1 and see if you can figure out what's causing your problem.
