Upload all files except what

Hi everyone. My site is giving me a warning saying version 4.2.8 is available. Ive downloaded the files but need some advice please. I upload all the files overwriting existing files....except which ones. Which files must not be overwritten. Or is there an update article available. Ive searched the forums for updating guides but my search comes up with nothing. Thanks everyone hope someone can point me in the right direction.

According to this post it's 1 of the settings 

 

So question us still the same what did you install after upgrade or dud you enable anything. 

 

IF YOU not sure try disabling all plugins applications and enable them 1by 1 and see if you can figure out what's causing your problem.

when i updated, i uploaded all files and ran the upgrade in the url

to run the upgrade run it like this ---> https: or  http://www.yourwebsite.com/admin/upgrade, and let the upgrade do its thing

Upload all files except global config located in root.

Thank you very much for this advice i have just completed the upgrade and it went through flawlessly. Thank you for helping me its much appreciated.

I got up this morning and noticed if i hover over any members name i get this massage "there was a problem loading this content" any ideas?

Hi the only thing i did sinse the upgrade was to turn the clubs feature on and create 2 clubs. I have sinse turned off clubs to see if anything changed but it doesnt still get the message.

try to clear the cache, and also clear your pc cache  and try it on the default IPB theme also and see if its the theme    @semtex

Ive tried all that same issue on 3 themes and 2 different computers.

Hi Star i will try this when i go home after work. ill see if this pin points the problem. Its the only problem i have after the update. hover over a members name or profile pic and the message shows. ive added no new hooks or apps only enabled the clubs module. ive disabled that but still the same tonight i will try disabling all plugins
