New users who subscribe, remain without avatars

Hi everyone,

I have a tip to ask: I use version 4.2.6 downloaded here.... but new users who subscribe, remain without avatars ... what does it depend on?
By default in 4.2 new members should automatically have the first letter of their nick (example  ) while they are all the same as default (example  )  

How do you think it happens? P.S. Both with the default theme and with the personal theme

I solved the problem by deleting this plugin

2 Letters in Profile Letters 1.0.1

Without this, everything works correctly

Evidently it was in conflict with the automatic avatar system with the letters of IPS

Thanks for your reply: I was hoping this was the problem but I checked right now and that setting is already so ... so unfortunately it does not depend on that

No, the settings are just the same as the screen posted above: NO gravatar and YES '"Generate profile photos from the first letter of the member's display name"
I've always had the settings that way (never changed) and it worked perfectly right now ... no more now ...
