Status Updates Problem

Hello,

I don't see any option to allow users to post status updates. Even for me (administrator), there is no box or area where people can post status updates. I've checked the settings and permissions several times and they all allow for status updates. None of the plugins (Advanced Status Update & Member Features) is doing the trick either. I've searched the theme but I cannot locate the 'Post A New Status' interface/box anywhere. I've even tried to inspect the source code of several different communities who have status updates enable but I can't find it.

Can someone please help me, because this is annoying me a lot.

Is it to do with settings? Is it a plugin? Is it a piece of code?

Forum > Edit Block (Left hand side slide out) > Forums > Recent Status Updates

Now the users can then do

Profile > Edit Profile > Enable Status updates.

Write your own status on your own Profile

Switched on already as I said in the original post. Its available for everyone. But there is no box to post updates at.

I'm using the IPS board downloaded from here v4.1.19.4

Hi @Cookie Monster I just wanted to ask, is there a way to force this option to be enabled when they register. I checked phpMyAdmin but I coudn't find the status update config.

I believe its default ON after registration if that usergroup has it activated unsure, currently on my phone and in bed so i can't check at the moment
