IP.Downloads Problem

Technologx

Question

Alright I'm having a issue with IP.Downloads I had created a subdomain and the directory for that subdomain was files and I deleted what was in that directory which was the cgi-bin directory. Now when I click on the downloads/files tab on the front end of my site it takes me to a empty directory since I've moved the subdomain files to another directory. Can anyone tell me how to fix this I've re-installed IP.Downloads and reconfigured it and still have the same issue?

The site address for you to look yourself is https://technologx.com

The most cause this problem is incorrectly configured.

the files you delete, must be in the folder where you reconfigured.

You delete all the files in folder, and reconfigured to the empty folder :D lol...

In the empty folder, you need to add required files to work... That files you delete, upload it again to that folder (newest) and see results.

I downloaded it from Invision-Virus because the file on here failed to extract twice and I downloaded it twice form here and like I said the only file I seen in the files directory on my server was the cgi-bin. I'm not sure if when I created the subdomain if it deleted what actually was there 1st or not.

Oh, u inderstand what you're trying now to do with the IP.Downloads. You want to copy in url files like ipb 4.x.

But what option you edited. Each options gives you information in admincp for what is it and what you need to do, to work correctly.

The setting in the acp are like this:

Local storage: download path: {root_path}/downloads

Local storage: screenshot path: {root_path}/screenshots

and that's the default settings.

I edited my post.

You have changed something else. Like your template, in admincp links in the navbar, and that happened when you click on the files you will be redirected to the /files/ folder. :D

Did you change the default ipb template, if not try with that skin.

I don't see the navigation for files in your html...

Soluttion:

Try reinstalling, and see if it's working. (but don't reconfigure it yourself, and see if it's work), if it's work, then it's your mistake.

And

Before you delete some files, please make backup first.

Remember:

Reconfiguring the downloads, to work like ipb 4x, as i detected require to have php skills. Cause of this problem is your mistake in reconfiguring the ip.downloads settings.
