  1. Please congratulate @Lady C and welcome her to the team! Lady C has been with us for quite some time and has always offered a smile and a friendly "hello" to everyone she interacts with; a persistent beacon of hope and friendliness. Much like WebFlake, Lady C has stood the test of time and continues to be one of our longest-tenured and faithful members. We're thrilled to give her an opportunity to continue moving WebFlake forward. Congratulations!
  2. In an effort to continue expanding our team, we're announcing two new promotions. Please congratulate @Saviour on his promotion to Senior Moderator and @Cookie Monster on his promotion to Moderator. Saviour started out with our Junior Moderator program way back in April of 2015 after undergoing a rigorous vetting process handled by yours truly. It didn't take long for him to complete his trial period and he earned a promotion to Moderator in just under a month. Saviour was one of the first I reached out to when deciding to return to WebFlake and I can say with great pride that he has become a reliable, trustworthy friend -- absolutely deserving of this promotion. Cookie has been earning his stripes cookies and then some. Did you know he has amassed just over 300 posts in the last month? That's a whopping 10 posts a day! His dedication and stellar support made him a natural choice for our first ever Member of the Month and now, I'm pleased to announce that he has completed his training as a Junior Moderator and will be taking the next step as a full-fledged Moderator. Please continue to support these guys for their ongoing commitment to WebFlake. Congratulations!
  3. Contest is officially closed. Congratulations to @TinkerToo on winning this competition with his submissions. Thank you to all of those who participated on Discord and privately.
  4. DISCORD: fixed a bug that was returning a 404 error for users without a preexisting role on the Discord server. Support Team applications are now being accepted. Support Team prerequisites: https://webflake.sx/app-reqs#support Support Team applications: https://webflake.sx/apply/support/ View full release
  5. We're going to extend this content for another 24-48 hours due to time constraints. If you have any submissions at all, please have them posted by end of day today.
  6. Removed forum page title from index. DISCORD: mapped roles for IPS > Discord. DISCORD: users can now link their Discord account to their WebFlake account via Account Settings. DISCORD: role and ban syncing is now enabled. View full release
  7. You can enable two-factor authentication in the ACP for accounts with ACP access. Recently Browsing isn't a plugin. It's a default feature of IPS.

    Question Chatbox

You're absolutely right: we are in a "modern era". 2017, to be exact. That's why we use Discord and not shitty chatbox services.

    Question Chatbox

We're not going to embed Discord on the site. Discord does not support this by default and we're not going to do it ourselves for just a few people. Quite frankly, if you want to be involved with this community outside of forum posts, then you need to make an effort to acclimate to Discord. When coworkers try to form a relationship outside of their place of employment, they don't chill in the break room at work because one guy doesn't like the pizza shop down the street.

    Question Chatbox

Unfortunately, the chatbox just doesn't offer the same level of customization that Discord does. We understand that Discord isn't everyone's cup of tea and wish it were but there's no sense in having a chatbox for a handful of users when we have a few hundred on Discord.
  11. Disabled chatbox on site. View full release
  12. For starters, I strongly recommend upgrading to the latest version of IPS, which is 4.1.19.2. You can download a copy here: https://webflake.sx/files/file/4039-wf-null-ips-community-suite/ If you're not interested in upgrading, it'd be helpful to know what language pack you are using and whether or not there are any errors being shown in your diagnostics logs (System > Support > Error Logs / System Logs).
  13. We've just added the Member of the Month app and are ready to begin putting it to use. There are some rules and changes to be aware of, so read carefully! How does it work? Throughout the month, users will cast their vote for WebFlake's newest MOTM. At the end of the month, Phun or I will review the voting results and select the newest MOTM based on those results. For example: the community will vote throughout the month of May and at the end of the month, a MOTM will be selected. That MOTM will be honored throughout the month of June. It works retroactively. Who can vote? Everyone except for Guests and Inactive Members. Who can be nominated? Everyone but Guests, Inactive Members, Newbies, and Retired Staff. You cannot vote for yourself either. Where can I view the MOTM? We'll have a widget displayed on the front page, positioned just below our Posts feed. There is also an Archive button displayed on that widget that will redirect you to webflake.sx/motm. Are there any rules to this thing? Do not create topics, status updates, or send PMs asking to be voted for (this includes Discord). There is no campaigning. Do not attempt to bribe other users for votes or offer your vote in exchange for some sort of compensation. Don't troll and vote for members who are banned, obnoxious, or otherwise undeserving. Be humble. When can I cast my first vote? Voting will be available starting May 1st.
  14. Want to help create something special for WebFlake and earn a reward for doing so? With our recent addition of the Trophies and Medals app, we're in need of some ideas for just what those trophies and medals should be and we'll need a collection of icons to use with those ideas. We're giving you, the community, an opportunity to present us with a list of trophies and medals, along with the icons, and the winning selection will be granted a free upgrade to our +Blizzard tier. As an added bonus, you'll be allowed to create your very own medal that will be unique to your profile only. Couple of things to note: Trophies are automatically awarded based upon certain criteria, such as content count, files submitted, days registered, etc. See this link for what is currently supported. Medals are manually awarded by Staff and should include certain themes or fun achievements. While we want the icons to be unique, we'd also prefer that they remain somewhat professional. We don't want neon banners or an animated batman. Something lively, cartoon-y perhaps (see the image below for an example of a previous award). Competition Rules: All content must be Safe For Work. Don't be stupid. Icons need to be a maximum of 48x48 and have the ability to be resized to something a bit smaller if necessary (as we may include these in the author pane in topics). To enter the contest, you need to submit your ideas along with a sample image in a response to this thread. We may contact you to review the rest of the icons. Contest has a tentative deadline of two weeks (Friday, May 12th). If you have any questions, feel free to ask below. Good luck and thank you!
  15. People say I'm so unpretentious for a genius. :boom:

  16. First and foremost, I've removed the "[High Priority]" bit from the title of your thread. You don't designate what thread receives priority. In addition to what Cookie said, you'll also need to update datastore and the upload path, and you can achieve this by either: Editing the Storage Setting and Datastore paths in your ACP, or... Search for all instances of /community in your /datastore directory and change those instances to the correct path.
  17. I'm not aware of any forum software with a built-in chat service, not anymore at least. Both IPS and XF have chat applications available; Chatbox for the former and TaigaChat for the latter. Ultimately, you need to decide which forum software you would like to use and go from there.
  18. 1060 packs a punch, even if it doesn't get the love that the 1080 does. Hell, I'm using just a 950 (until I move up to the 1080 myself) and it handles Rust, H1Z1/KOTK, and a few others just fine. I haven't played PUB yet myself but I'm sure your rig will be more than sufficient.
  19. Over the last two weeks, I've been slowly sorting through what has grown into an enormous number of duplicates. There may have been some that I've missed so if you notice a duplicate file, same version or otherwise, report the file that isn't the latest version. Please do not add the version number of a file to the file name. Use the file version field. This prevents unsightly names like "Plugin 1.0 1.0". Also, I'd like to reiterate a longstanding policy regarding submissions: Do NOT post downloads with passwords or files in them that advertise other sites (this includes links/images to your own site or "credits" to yourself). It's come to my attention that we had a member who not only had well over a hundred duplicate files, but he had been inserting links to WebFlake, his WF profile, his GitHub page, etc into these files and folders. This is not acceptable. We don't want any reference to WebFlake or yourself in the file/folder (unless you're the actual author). I've seen previous topics about this, where a disgruntled former Staff member stated publicly that users who submit files "deserve credit". No. Only credit you're going to get is right here on WebFlake, by way of your name being displayed as the file submitter, trophies/medals, leaderboard, etc. You are not entitled to edit these files and include links of your choosing. If any user is found to be doing this going forward, they will be dealt with harshly. WebFlake prides itself on file integrity and we will continue to protect that reputation. I will acknowledge that our official IPS nulls contain an update link to WF but this is purely to avoid editing core files beyond what is necessary. You're likely to see a ton of files being "updated" when they're really just being downloaded, self-links removed, and re-uploaded. I apologize for any confusion this may cause.
  20. Our chatbox is currently not available until I can get @Phun to adjust the folder permissions so that we can reinstall the latest version. Sorry for the inconvenience! In the meantime, feel free to connect with us on Discord.

  22. We're pleased to announce our latest addition to the Junior Moderator program: Cookie Monster. Cookie's continued interaction with the community and dedicated support has been impressive and was a motivating factor in our selection. We've tasked Cookie with continuing to provide stellar support as well as transitioning into his new moderator role. Be sure to give him the same support he has shown all of you by congratulating him on his promotion, here or via his profile: @Cookie Monster Welcome to the team!
  23. Hidden is no stranger to WebFlake or this team so it's with great pride that we've been able to bring him back into the fold. We'll be tasking Hidden with assisting us in cleaning up old threads, old files, merging content, and removing duplicate submissions. Make his job a bit easier and report those pesky duplicates and broken files! Be sure to congratulate him here on via his profile: @Hidden Ninja We'll be adding another Junior Moderator to the team tomorrow afternoon.
