The question is this: Were they really active before you made them staff? If so, the best thing to do is communicate with them (like you did) and ask if they plan on being active again. Wait a reasonable time for their answer, and make a decision based on that. I am not saying this is what you did, but always avoid "hiring" staff in the following two scenarios: [*]Posting on another website advertising you're looking for staff. Basically, this is just a crap-shoot and you're likely to get someone who just wants a moderator title, but isn't willing to put any work into your site. They may be active for a few days, then they just tend to fall off the face of the earth. Frankly speaking, they are probably applying for moderation positions at numerous sites and are not reliable at all. [*]Anyone who asks to become a moderator. When someone pm's you at your site asking you to become a moderator . . most of the times it is a terrible idea. You should select your moderators based on their activity at your site. It is extremely rare that someone who wants to be a moderator will have substantial activity. Again, they just want the title, and in the end will be pretty unreliable.

Does your app (or apps) show up in the Manage Applications and Modules list? If so, make sure these apps are enabled. That would be the first step I would take. If they are not enabled, they will not show up in the Other Apps tab. If they are enabled, try disabling and enabling them again. Again, this is only the first step I would take.

There's really only two ways I can think of doing this. The first is the obvious. Assuming you upgraded from 3.3.x to 3.4.x, you may have made a 3.3.x backup. So you could always re-install everything and use a back up. Another thing you can do is convert to a new software, and then back again. I never did that, so I don't know how much work is involved. The bottom line is this . . you're doing all of this for a theme? Does this them come with a magical spell which makes 70 nymphomaniacs appear in your bedroom?

Call of Duty forums are like a plague. I don't know what the fascination with these forums are. It seems like every newly-created gaming website has Call of Duty forums. Usually, its a "main" Call of Duty forum and between 5-10 subforums. In every case, without fail, there is never anything posted in these forums.

What skin are you trying to upload? Did you get the skin from here?

In your ACP try this. Go to Look and Feel > Template Tools First rebuild HTML, CSS and Replacements for everything. Afterward, recache all skins. I had the database error when I installed a skin a few months back. This actually solved the issue.
