    is in your original configuration of ipb in admin => member => parameter member => spam protection you have 4 choices here : capcha - mark as spammer - ips antispam - and the last the quizz question (is here you enter your question for custom capcha)

    I don't think hooks have callbacks in them, so I would say no, but don't quote me on this. so hook or application who come of big coding team have call back with ipb : devfuse and need to be nulled to, so yes you can loose your licence with some hook or application who come of here if they are nulled for all other no prob they are all the same of original with no call back

    they don't work like that ! you need create a login in external (exemple : a worpdress blog with login or you personnal login systeme in a website in php) and after you link this external database in your ipb forum with the same name option in your capture.

    yes with ipb 4 you can make same in admin => connexion you can activate api and use it outside the ips

    if the board work is a prob with your user table, if the board don't work is your database who are gone, try to repair and optimiz your database

    i have understand at the start but i don't understand why you need this ... just create your forum in "domaine.com" and make your page in default and after you have your forum in "domaine.com/forum" is exactly the same thing of "forum.domaine.com" but is mutch better for SEO .... or you can install your forum in "forum.domaine.com" let him in default create you page in page "forum.domaine.com/nameofyourpage/" and make a redirect of your main domaine in this link ....

    no need to be outside, with page application you can code directly in ipb system your page in php, html or with the editor or you can simply create a menu button with your favorite link so yes outside your domaine or subdomaine
