Meta title, tags and description [help]

Hi guys,

 

I am trying to setup my meta info on IPB 3.4.x

 

I am just looking for a detailed rundown on what / how I should put the info located in the fields in the screenshot to optimize my board.

All help and support is appreciated, and please bare with me as I am new to meta related stuff.

ok keywords work like this. lets say you offer templates. if its ipb templates you offer your first keyword would be

ipb templates

after that

ipb themes

 

so 2 keywords would go

 

ipb, templates, ipb themes, ipb, templates, themes,  <<<< we already used 5 keywords here first 10 keywords is the key of the success of the site.  Keywords is what people type in search to try and find you.

 

Hope this explains bit more.

Bored Index Page title: is the name of the site.

Meta Description: is telling people information about the site, what's your website about what do you offer there.

Meta Keywords: Right the key words is how people will find your site, this is very important to get right as google spiders will index your page looking for them keywords.

It is helpful star, I understand the philosophy of the 'keywords', i'm more curious how to input them.

 

are they like this:

 

ipb, test, common, or ipb test common << I guess what is the appropriate form to insert them?

you would need to put a comma between each word
