A lot of spammers registrations

hello all!

recently i moved from vbulletin to ip board and my site is online

the problem is that i have searched this forum and forun many useful information regarding prevention opf spammers

the thing is though that even though spammers are flagged as spammers after registration the members count increases with members that are actually spammers

how cna i control that?

Go to your ACP and enable the Registration Question and Answer Challenges.

 

Then I suggest you use an application which can be found on here called Stop Forum Spam.

 

Make sure to enable your captcha for signups too.

 

That should 99.9% stop all spammers! hope that helps

researching i found tyhe application you suggested and just installed it

i hope i wont have any issues with normal users!!!

do you think that recaptcha isnt necessary??i mean the image assembly option when registering to the site

Its best to be safe by using as much stuff you can to stop the spammers! so Id go all out war to stop them
