Blank screen after applying new skin

after uploading and installing a new skin on my site and then going to the skin selector and selecting the skin. I am then presented with a blank white page. I cant get my site to working again until i go into the admin cp and remove the skin. any suggestions on what could be causing this? is it something with ipb or server side? thanks

Issue was resolved. It seems my hosts server was running in safe mode and was adjusted

ok will give that a try

tried that but no success. I did get this error message on ipb after the recache
