PREFIX NOT WORKING? 3.1.9 on my 4.2.6 version

Question

HI guys Im having issue making prefix work I have made prefix and I only want prefix to work on my forums its all activated group settings are all correct and forum settins also all correct

whenb I go to make a post where prefix shouldbe showing up its just not there. I tried it on 3 other templates and all the same just not showing up any ideas why is it not working please?

Tried that and it made things even worse now whole ediyting box and template just vanished lol

funny thing is it was working when I first installed it but I changed my domain from .tk to .me and it stoped working :( but Tags work still just prefix the thing that I actually need to work is not working.

Hmmm. Not entirely sure why it's not showing up. Is it a per-group setting? Check group permissions to see if it's disabled per-group. But, the editor not loading is an issue with Ajax/site not fully loading. Try clearing your cache and/or opening your site in a guest/incognito tab.

its strange :( As admin group its enabled there

Is your secondary group also admin? That would be the issue then if it's not.

So to recap and I understand what you have done

  • You set the usergroup to allow to use tags/prefixes (as its usergroup based)
  • Did you enable normal tags & the plugin at the same time? (or just one at the time?)

Off-topic: long time no see, how the heck are ya?

All good for 2 kids so not much time for internet :-D decided to open forums about mobile game mods and it kinda toke off lol other then that I'm good how have you been ? :-)

Good to hear! Doing quite well myself. Glad to see a familiar face again!

As for the topic itself, I admittedly just glanced at the OP and missed that you're aware you need forum-specific settings but I did notice that you don't have the prefixes defined.

Here's ours, for example:
