So lately the server has been slow and had heavy traffic, so I asked my provider to move to a new server.

Ever since the transition to the new server, I been getting the following SQL error: IPS\Db\Exception: Prepared statement needs to be re-prepared (1615)

I thought updating to the latest IPB software could help but the error is still there.

For those that posted its an old error this was fixed in 5.1.2 min requirement for IPS 4.1 to run is 5.6 (maybe it was 5.4 mysql)

So the error is still there but to me it looks like two things

• Broken database
• Broken Mysql user

Contact your host/provider. Appears to be an issue with their MySQL server relating to the "table_definition_cache" setting from what my research indicates. They will most likely need to alter that setting to something that will allow your site to operate as intended.

Mhm alright, last time I talked to them about it, they kinda just gave me google results so not really that helpful. But thank you! I'll let them know!

Can you post the full error message? Might be that you can just run a Query to fix it OR its a permission issue. But as @Jrock kind of said It's more the host that screwed with moving the files on the server (permissions etc) then its your fault  If all you did was request a server move.

That to me looks like your missing .htaccess, are you able to access AdminCP at all ?

I have .htaccess. I do remember it came without it and without it, every sub-page will result in a "can't find webpage" error. So I wrote it.

Well putting it into the htaccess didn't help, just the same error. The message is:

Sorry for just the image, the forums thought the error messages was spam.

Don't put SQL in .htaccess

Ok so the problem is not htaccess the problem is the database and the mysql.

So i would suggest to do the following, create a new database, export the old one import it into a new one.

Then Set up a new USER (Cpanel right?) give it all permissions, then in conf_global.php change the db user, db name, password and see if that fixes it.

Just curious how long does importing take? Exporting was just a second, but uploading seems to be longer. Through phpMyAdmin, the upload is still at 0% with a counter clockwise circle on the web tab :/

Hopefully my google fiber kicks in some time soon.

Depends on your connection and how big the file is. What i can suggest is to make sure you ZIP the file, and use REPLACE instead of INSERT INTO

This makes the cycle easier, as it doesn't have to check if there is anything in the table before you insert it, it will just replace it.

Also try HeidiSQL just make sure you have RemoteSQL activated (So in Cpanel you need to add either % or your IP) to allow connection to the server, consider it like a firewall.

With HeidiSQL you can do all sorts of things you can do with PHPmyAdmin but its easier to execute and a bit faster.

Every time I try to import, it keeps saying no database selected. Do you know the correct syntax? I tried using DROP XXX ,CREATE XXX, and USE XXX. Even tried just importing the way it was when I export it. 

Also I tried connected through HeidiSQL and even allowed my IP, but it still says Host X.X.X.X is now allowed to connect to this MariaDB server

EDIT: Good news, I'm finally inside of HeidiSQL
