DarkXess
Hey guys, I am just wondering if its now ok for updating and/or going live by using the .?do=embed' frameborder='0' data-embedContent> The RC releases prior was plastered with messages of do not use on a live site as its not stable yet etc etc... So my question is, able to update to and go live? Any steps of updating from which version before making an update too? I am currently on v3.5.4 Thanks. 0 Stake™
As @Saviour said, you should make a test board to check if all your applications are working fine. You have to keep in mind not yet all applications are upgraded for 4.x. If you think your test board is working properly, you can get your 4.0.6 live. Make sure you are upgrading a NULLED board to a NULLED 4.0.6. If you are using RETAIL, upgrade your board with a RETAIL version of 4.0.6.
0 Xing
I'm using 4.06 now compared to RC6 and it's been going great. Of course, I made sure I backed up as much as possible but its been great. There tons of things that have been fixed.
0 DarkXess
I'm using 4.06 now compared to RC6 and it's been going great. Of course, I made sure I backed up as much as possible but its been great. There tons of things that have been fixed. So, you would say its ok to make the move now then or wait a little more as you said there are still tons of things to be fixed. I don't know how big your community is but ours is over 6000 members so I really don't want to make the move if its going to be a "bad move" in all if you get what I mean Edit: @Mysterious just checking over your site on your sig mate, what are the apps for your "feedback" and "support ticket" as I need to be a member to view so. 0 Administrator James Posted May 25, 2015 Administrator Share Posted May 25, 2015 How about copy your database and make a test run on another subdomain to see if it works out well and what not? That would work so you don't have to do that on your live website and then something happen.
0 Unconnect
One thing messed up for me. When I enabled Pages and I wanted to uninstall it something happened and its name changed to cms. Couldn't uninstall it anymore. Good thing I've not launched my community to the public yet. Installing the engine back again now...
