Edited by ______ default?

I noticed that when people edit post on here it always has the "Edited by (username) and the time they edited it" On my forum it gives me the option of checking it or not... is this just because I'm an admin or is there someway I can make this a default so it always shows this when a user edited their post?

Its set to on for every group. To turn it off, you'll have to press on the edit(pencil) button for the group you want and then open the "Forum" tab. Scroll down a bit until you see "Editing" then just set the Allow user to remove 'Edited by' legend? to No.
