Skin System Setting Remove

Hi WF,

I have had this problem for quite a while now and thought i'd go ahead and ask if any one had any ideas on how to remove Skin Settings from System Settings, i mean yes you can remove some but then some don't have the option to remove them.

Now when i click this part:

I get this:

So i go inside the settings and go to delete the settings and i can't look:

There is no option to delete.

So i was wondering how can i delete it.

The first thing you must do is edit conf_global.php. In conf_global.php find

define( 'IN_DEV', 0 );

and change to

define( 'IN_DEV', 1 );

then go into your ACP > System Settings > blah blah till your where you want to remove the skin settings and remove it XD.

 

ONCE Finished remember to change it back to 0

can you locate the .xml file and remove it this way then recache all hooks / applications?

Sorry what do you mean by locate the .xml file, in the FTP or the actual .xml file i uploaded to get these settings?

Login to FTP and locate the .xml file for the skin you uploaded to the settings. and remove it then recache all hooks and applications on your forum board.

Thats the problem i've never known where it is, i've searched and search and cannot find the xml file any where in the FTP even in hooks folder

Just had a quick look. You could check these folders out.

FTP > cache > skin_cache > skin_id (of the skin)

Doesn't matter i found it in phpmyadmin

I was going to say additionally you could stick your board in dev mode and then it gives you the option to remove it.
