0 thetechgenius
Just signup for a gmail email account, and use their SMTP Server to send emails from your board. http://community.invisionpower.com/resources/documentation/index.html/_/knowledge-base/recurring-non-version-specific-issues/smtp-via-gmail-r200 This is so your server won't be sending emails from your email server, the forum will use Gmail SMTP server to send and receive emails. You NEED to signup for a Gmail Email though, thats the only way you can use their SMTP Server. I had to do this for my home server, because my ISP blocks the SMTP outgoing port. So I setup my IP.Board to use google's SMTP server. And it works. After you set it up, you can use your IP.Board to send you a test email, just to see if its working. If you need any more help configuring your Email via IP.Board using GMAIL, let me know and I will help you the best way I can.
0 Guest atik0786
@BlueSkiLLz : Actually, it must be the problem with your server. Its not sending mails properly. You should probably use mandrill for sending emails : https://mandrillapp.com/ You will find the link to enable mandril in System > Applications and Modules > Community Enhancements : http://prntscr.com/386umj From there go and enter valid mandril details Hope this helps. If you still need help post back here. Otherwise mark this post as answered. Good luck

0 Lock Down
if you filled in the information when you signed up at mandrill it should be working. Mandrill Settings Your Mandrill Account Username API Key Once you have signed up for a Mandrill account, you can create an API key in the Mandrill Web Application. Use Mandrill for all emails? Yes If enabled, all emails sent from your community will use Mandrill's SMTP server. Otherwise, only bulk mails will be sent using Mandrill. Create a test account with a test email address like yahoo or google and see if yo get it.
