    I wouldn't say it's so much offended as it is dumbfounded by the question. On a site where everything is free.. asking if a miniscule contribution is "worth it", does seem a bit entitled and arrogant. Anytime you give back to a community you've already taken so much from, is certainly "worth it".

    The opening of the post...."Tested in IPB version 3.3.x" That would suggest it's been tested with 3.3.x, and likely NOT tested with 3.4.x. Backup your files before making any changes, and have at it. If it doesn't work, feel free to report back here with your results.

    It appears you have HTML usage disabled for Members (which can be toggled in Member permissions).

    Yes, this works. The user who initially made the request for this tutorial uses IP.Board 3.4.x.. unless you're using 3.3.x, I'm certain this tutorial works.

    Care to elaborate on what you mean by "ending the comment lines"? When commenting material out, you absolutely must close out the comment or you risk commenting out the entirety of the file.
