This is my suggestion @AntiMetaman Overwrite whatever files you have with 4.2.2 Visit admin/upgrade (Try run it if possible) Once done either failure or not, use FTP to create a subfolder name it "_422" (no quotes) Move all files and folders EXCEPT global_conf.php and uploads folder Upload 4.2.4 and try /admin/upgrade
  11. I would presume you need to make some php changes make a if else and check how many post to X then you can use jquery to animate it.

That's exactly what the API does, you can make a POST request to the IPS API (more about that here https://invisionpower.com/developers/rest-api) and post those fields to the database etc. OR you can make a GET request to get information from it. Though the response is in JSON you can easily convert that both ways. Though to do this you will need a bit of Javascript and PHP knowledge but its completely possible.
