Hi there ive been a member on and off sinse FORUM CORE with long breaks here and there. I witnesses the troubles this site faced in the past and glad to see this site came through the other side bigger and stronger. Ive already been helped big time by a few members here when ive hit problems. Im so glad to see the helpful side of this site still remains excellent.

Hi Star i did exactly what you advised. I turned off every plugin and checked and the problem was solved. I then re enabled every plugin one by one and checked everytime to see if the problem was fixed and it turned out a plugin called "Your posts from chatbox" was the offending pluging causing this problem. Thank you so much for pointing me in the right direction much appreciated indeed. Thank you so much for taking the time to help me the problem has been resolved....thank you.

Hi Star i will try this when i go home after work. ill see if this pin points the problem. Its the only problem i have after the update. hover over a members name or profile pic and the message shows. ive added no new hooks or apps only enabled the clubs module. ive disabled that but still the same tonight i will try disabling all plugins

Ive tried all that same issue on 3 themes and 2 different computers.

Hi the only thing i did sinse the upgrade was to turn the clubs feature on and create 2 clubs. I have sinse turned off clubs to see if anything changed but it doesnt still get the message.

I got up this morning and noticed if i hover over any members name i get this massage "there was a problem loading this content" any ideas?

Hi everyone. My site is giving me a warning saying version 4.2.8 is available. Ive downloaded the files but need some advice please. I upload all the files overwriting existing files....except which ones. Which files must not be overwritten. Or is there an update article available. Ive searched the forums for updating guides but my search comes up with nothing. Thanks everyone hope someone can point me in the right direction.

I just logged onto my site and this banner is showing above the shoutbox. How can i get rid of this message? EDITED: I just logged in as a standard member and it doesnt show it only shows for admin accounts.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU you have helped me big time. I just went into plugins and disabled the last few i remember enabling and now the problem is solved. Now i need to remove that dogy plugin which is causing this. again i thank you big time

Going back a few months ago i created a forum board spent hours each day working on it and one day i went to create a new forum topic and the page just showed wierd characters. I couldnt solve the issue so after i stopped crying lol i started from scratch and built another one which has taken me many many weeks and hours each day. last night i changed my theme and all looked great. Just now i went to create another forum section and again im met with the same wierd page. I dont want to start again from scratch but right now ips is doing my head in. Problems seem to occur out of the blue. Ive attached a screenshot of the page i get. this page shows whatever i do in the forum section weather its create a new forum or try to edit an existing entry. Any pointers in what i should do to rectify this would be appreciated as im at my whits end and thinking of walking away from it.

I have noticed in my admin control panel a button saying "patch available" being a relative newbie im wondering if i should click on this or ignore it. I also notice some plugins have a message "upgrade available". i havnt clicked on any of these as i dont know what will happen and i dont want to damage my community. Any advice would be greatly received. thanks

Hi Everyone I need to be able to turn off the option for my members to be able to upload downloads to my community. I want to have admins only able to add downloads to the community. Can anyone point me in the direction of stopping members adding downloads to my community please. thanks
