Can I please have my personal messaging rights back now? Yes I used it to complain to Davlin about my warnings and I no way at all abused him etc, I just questioned my warnings given to me by him and that is my right to do so. But now my moderation period is over can I have the PM ability back? It is all I am wanting, and as my sanctions are now over I dont see why I cant have it back. If this is about Davlin not wanting to reply my messages then its simply, put me on ignore - besides my warnings are over now so I have no need to contact him again. Thanks.

How about making a 2nd super mod group then disabling all the stuff you want. This would and should still let him lock stuff but with other restrictions so he cant do everything like a supermod. I have have just checked and your right, there isnt nothing around where you can just add this one thing - not what I can find anyways Sorry

Go to ACP then Members > Member Groups > edit the moderators there. First though you will need to put the one you trust to be a moderator into that certain group. Hope that helps.

Your welcome Its best to be safe by using as much stuff you can to stop the spammers! so Id go all out war to stop them

Go to your ACP and enable the Registration Question and Answer Challenges. Then I suggest you use an application which can be found on here called Stop Forum Spam. Make sure to enable your captcha for signups too. That should 99.9% stop all spammers! hope that helps

Hey, I am using the I am now trying to change the words to my liking, as show in the picture below, I have already changed the words to what I want, but I want it formatted to how I want to, its all bunched together like its showing in the picture, But I want it something like this: ########## Sorry you must first post a comment in order to download this file! Hey, I am wondering what this means: Error: 1040 - Too many connections I am getting it from time to time, not a lot but its to the point now where I am curious on why im getting it. It is almost always the same IP that is being given when the error has caused the sql error log, so can someone please tell me what it is and how or if not to care about it and fix it somehow? Sorry if this is with a newer version of ip.downloads but as im using the 2.5.1 version still then excuse me for making this thread and you may lock it - though please inform me that it does come with a later version. Well what im trying to do is when someone downloads a file from my ip.downloads then it give you a 10 second wait like here on WF. Reason im wanting this is to hopefully stop "TooManyConnections" errors in the SQL file, though im not sure this is the main cause. Any help for this mod please? thanks.

Your welcome, just remember that ALWAYS before you put anything on your live site, check it firstly on a test site or local host. And when I say test, lol dont make the same mistake I made when I first started out. Check everything works first like such things as the editor and posting etc, I once had problems making a live update without testing and had to do a rollback - Nightmare situation trust me

All you do is copy everything apart from the conf_global.dist.php from your new update 3.4.4 "upload" folder and then paste it all into your older forums folder which is now 3.3.4 as you say. Over right if it asks should it over right. Then once its complete, sign into the ACP and it will automatically show there is an upgrade available which you need to do before doing anything else, it wont let you do anything else otherwise. Upgrade and let it go through the process and then your all good. Test it FIRST on a test site or your local host to make sure everything works well in the first place. Hope that helps.

Ok so im over 15 posts (finally) ... I make a request for and its been fulfilled so I go to download it and boom... I am not allowed to download saying ive reached my maximum dl's for the day. But how is that? I have not downloaded nothing since this new site WF went live so its impossible I have reached my maximum dl's. Can someone also tell me what is the rule of downloads now as I cant even find it, the maximum for me (n00b member) is what per day? and over such and such downloads is... ? Thanks

Unless you know who your talking to then I suggest you butt out! I was on FC with well over 600 or more posts and threads WITH my own f**ing contributions to people like you and the other leachers! I am only saying cause the amount of days, hours, and replies etc of being part of FC just to suddenly come to an end like that puts people off, so dont go pushing me with stupid comments like FREE!

I take it that its not possible for known members from FC to be given a higher status like advance member etc? I feel its a shame for those of us who have to go through the 15 post regulations and all that crap when really we are and were trusted on FC. Anyways, nice new site - but just miss my old posts/threads and status on the old site.

You can download anyways, its requests and other forums they are trying for. I suggest new members are moderated and then set off a leash by the moderator once his trial period has come to and end, lol. Moderators are here for things like that, so let them do more around here by something like this

Most important tip in my book is ----> BACKUP!!!!!! Never take things for granted that your site is safe and wont have a problem, cause when your going on nicely and then suddenly boom! with no backup your going to have a very angry community if you need to rollback months if not restart again.
