As a back end developer, you will be working with a small, flexible team. You must be a clear thinking problem solver and be able to demonstrate creativity and innovation. Well structured and efficient code is paramount to your workload. Your role will be varied and involve bug fixing, peer reviews, helping refine technical aspects and contribute code towards new functionality for WebFlake. Key Responsibilities Write workable, testable, and efficient code by using sound development processes. Cooperate with other team members to develop new features. Troubleshoot and refine existing code and systems. Create and maintain software documentation both in and out of code. Availability via Discord for off-site communication with the team. The most important characteristic is a willingness to learn and to take on new challenges. The role is varied and you can be providing advice in our support forums or crafting code for our latest features. Understand that while we don't often implement restrictive deadlines, this role is not intended to be a part-time hobby. Commitment is a must. Skills & Experience Significant experience as a PHP developer. Significant experience with Invision Community Suite. Experience with HTML, CSS and JS. Experience with MySQL. Experience with GitHub. Experience with various web services such as OAuth, SAML, REST, etc. Experience working with a smaller team that emphasizes personal responsibility. WebFlake is seeking enthusiastic and impartial members who are interested in introducing new participants to WebFlake, facilitating constructive discussion, and establishing a welcoming environment while enforcing conduct guidelines and terms of service. Key Responsibilities Junior Mods will be tasked with handling daily duties, such as.. Downloading, scanning, and approving (or deleting) submitted resources. Moving Answered support topics to appropriate forum. Marking support topics as resolved and moving them. Locking, moving, and editing various topics. Flagging spam bots as spam accounts. Issuing appropriate warnings when necessary. Reviewing and handling of reports. Interacting with the community in a friendly and approachable manner. Maintaining a daily presence in the community. What can't a Junior Moderator do? Junior Mods, while granted access to a wide variety of tools and permissions do have a few limitations, such as.. Inability to soft or hard delete topics / posts. Inability to hide / unhide topics. Inability to pin / unpin topics. Inability to view IP Addresses. We're looking for someone who Is 18 years of age or older. Communicates clearly and effectively (in English). Can devote a considerable amount of time to the community and its Discord. Is a team player with a winning attitude. Possesses excellent multitasking skills. Has a basic understanding of moderation and the tasks associated with it (we can train you). Has a Discord account (and has joined the WebFlake Discord Server) for off-site Staff communication. Must not have held a Junior Moderator position within the last year. WebFlake is looking to add an experienced and creative Graphic Designer to our small, flexible team. Primary work will be focused on proposal, presentation, and marketing collateral design, templates, and graphics, but could also include various media types, such as logo creation, brand standards development, social media graphics, website design, and more. Key Responsibilities Design layouts, templates, and other graphics for proposals, presentations, and marketing collateral pieces. An ability to work with others and visualize oftentimes complex information. Design high-quality graphics and marketing material to be used for a variety of projects as required/requested. Analyzes, manages, and updates image and graphic libraries. Thinks creatively to produce new ideas and concepts, and develops interactive designs. Provides graphic design in support of other marketing initiatives, including but not limited to: social media, branding, website, advertising, and more. Skills & Experience At least a year of graphic design experience. Expert in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, etc) and other design tools. Proficient in translating complex, technical information into easy-to-understand graphics. Experience bringing brands to life. Experience developing graphics for frontpages, forums, social media, etc. Active subscription or access to Adobe Creative Suite. WebFlake is looking to add part-time community support assistants to our growing team, otherwise known as Experts. You are self-motivated and focused on helping members with support enquiries. Your role will be in assisting members via support forum and Discord support channels. Ideally, you will be level-headed, critical thinking, and be familiar with our community platform (Invision Community Suite) and comfortable with technologies such as FTP, Amazon S3, PHP, MySQL, HTML, and CSS. Additionally, experience with other software platforms such as XenForo, vBulletin, and WordPress would be considerably helpful. Key Responsibilities Providing clear, concise, and effective support in support forums and Discord support channels. Writing articulate and informative tutorials and guides for relevant subject matter. Editing, hiding, moving, locking, splitting, merging, and selecting the best answer for, support topics. Consulting with our development and design team on current and future WebFlake projects. Skills & Experience Significant experience with PHP, HTML, CSS, JS, MySQL, and web servers. Significant experience with Invision Community Suite. Experience with various web services such as OAuth, SAML, REST, etc. Experience with other services such as FTP and Amazon S3. We are looking for someone who Is 18 years of age or older. Has at least 10 solved support questions in the last year. Can deescalate problem or potential problem communications. Is confident in conversing via forum style, public-facing support as well as chat-oriented support via Discord. Can clearly communicate both in writing and verbally. We primarily provide support in English. Is excited about interacting with our members to build a vibrant and educational support culture.
