Member Contests & Giveaways is a forum for WebFlake members to create their own contests or giveaways for other members of the site to participate in!
Below are the guidelines for creating and participating in member-created contests or giveaways. Please note that failure to follow these guidelines may result in account penalties. Fraudulent, prohibited, or otherwise misleading threads will likely result in a permanent ban from our community.
Prohibited activities include contests that require money, personally identifiable information, or giveaways that violate or compromise the security of personal information. For example, we do not permit giveaways of "cracked" or stolen accounts, nor do we allow contests that require users to purchase a membership or access key.
Guidelines
All contests and giveaways must have a duration of at least 72 hours to ensure fairness for all participants.
Creator cannot shorten the duration of a contest or giveaway after the event has started.
If the winner of the contest or giveaway has not claimed their reward, you can extend the duration of the event for up to one (1) additional week.
You must provide an ending date. If an ending date is not listed, Staff will contact you to add one. If one isn't added, your thread will be removed.
Every contest and giveaway must detail how users can participate and enter into the event.
Any criteria specified to enter an event cannot be changed after the event has begun.
Contest or giveaway creator has 48 hours to announce the winner and it must be done in the original thread.
If the winner of the contest or giveaway does not receive their reward, they should immediately report the thread for Staff to review.
You may only create and run one contest or giveaway at a time. Additional threads will be removed.
If you're unsure whether or not your contest or giveaway is acceptable, please contact Staff to discuss the matter.
When entering a contest or giveaway, it is your responsibility to make sure you meet the criteria specified by the author. Do not post in the thread unless you are participating. Direct questions to the author via private message.
NOTE: these guidelines may be amended at any time at the discretion of WebFlake administration.
