Can't get the shoutbox to show up on index

000rune000

Question

I have the settings correct to make it show up on the index and it does until i go into the usergroup editor and change it to ALLOW people to shout and then it disappears from the index.

ip.b 3.4.5 and shoutbox 1.4.1 & sidebar disabled. re-cached the skins multiple times.

wat do?

Found out the issue for some reason is that the shoutbox disappears off the forum index for my admin account, no other accounts have this issue in any other groups. what do i do? i have the admin access set and my account is not banned from the shoutbox

are you using a custom skin, did you assign a moderator / admin for the shoutbox?

are you sure you have assigned the groups you want to see the shoutbox (if you are in a group who isn't allowed permission, it will disappear).

"Installation or upgrades of this product follows the same pattern as any other standard IP.Board application. You just need to upload all of the contents of the 'upload' folder to your forums, preserving the directory structure. Once you have uploaded all of the files, visit the Manage Applications & Modules page on the System tab of your Admin CP and click the link to Install or Upgrade this application.

  • [*]
Warning : To fully remove it when upgrade please do the following uninstalled Vcard from Hook this allows part the profile tab to work then please go to hosting control panel and remove admin/applications_addon/other/shoutbox/extensions and remove Profiletab. [*]Keep in mind that if you have renamed your forum's 'admin' folder that you will need to upload the folders and files from the 'admin' folder for this application into the renamed 'admin' folder on your forums. [*]Also note that the contents of the /public/style_images/master/ folder inside the 'upload' folder must be uploaded to each /public/style_images/ subfolder used by a skin on your site, so that the images this application uses can be customized on a per-skin basis if needed."
