HighDef 0 Posted February 23, 2021 Share Posted February 23, 2021 (edited) So I bought hosting for forum on a German service provider and through filezilla installed all the files necessary, however when I go to the page and start the installation the following error is shown Spoiler We were unable to start a PHP session. You will need to contact your host to adjust your PHP configuration before you can continue. The error reported was: session_start(): Failed to read session data: files (path: /var/www/vhosts/X/sessions) What could be the issue here and what could be done to solve it? Thanks in advance! That said, are there any error logs with your chosen web server, i.e. Apache? How about SQL errors? It's probably just an issue with your PHP version but without more information, I can't be sure.
