Sparkling usernames

sharkgamingph

Question

Hello, how can I make a group with sparkling usernames or like this:
7ea45a7d30ddcd72a82cbe4be70f99df.gif.6c373256a6e37c85c7537d19183edd1d.gif
I've already seen some forums that talking about this, I try to follow their instructions but it seems not working at all. I'm using Invision Power Board 4.4.10 (upgrading to 4.5.2)

Go to your AdminCP ⇾ Members ⇾ Groups, and choose one to edit, it should look like this after:

DiehX6i.png

The important part for us is the "Group Formatting" where we can choose between "Use Color" or "Use HTML", since we want to apply a style not just a color we are going to select "Use HTML".

Paste this into the first box: <span class="clrSparkle"> and this into the second box: </span>

Save your changes and go to Customization ⇾ Themes ⇾ Your Theme ⇾ Edit HTML & CSS and open the custom.css of your theme.

Paste this into it:

.clrSparkle {
  color: #56deff;
  font-weight: bold;
  background: url(https://i.imgur.com/8wxFgdm.gif);
}

I used this sparkle-effect for it: 8wxFgdm.gif

You can add multiple variants to your custom.css and use them the same way.

Please no more private messages, mentions or anything like that. I don't offer any support at the moment.

The way I recommended works perfectly, the problem should be on your end @mr-pimpen

Also, if you are using my way you would never have to touch the group settings again to edit the group formatting, once set, it's properties getting loaded by your custom.css which means less headache when editing group formatting :)

You are apparently very inexperienced my friend, you didn't even manage to follow my little tutorial.

It works, I do it that way since years - and you are not a developer, you are a wannabe. Go read more of my posts so you can learn something ;)

It's working perfectly as you can see. ;)

I follow @Oni Guide, and it works. As he stated above
I paste this code <span class="clrSparkle"> in the first box then I paste this code </span> to second box

2nd, I go to my themes >> My theme >> edit html and css >> css tab >> custom css >> then I paste this code:

clrSparkle {
  color: #56deff;
  font-weight: bold;
  background: url(https://i.imgur.com/8wxFgdm.gif);
}

And it works!
Here's the screenshots:

And btw can I ask one more question in this thread or I should create another one? My question is how can I customize the sidepage slider?

or, go in group settings, > use html

1st box> :

<span style="background-image: url('https://i.imgur.com/8wxFgdm.gif');">

2nd:

</span>

if you want add some style you could do:

Spoiler

<span style="color: #AF47FF; font-weight: bold; background-image: url('https://i.imgur.com/8wxFgdm.gif');">

this just add the font color (html color = AF47FF) and the bold
