Install IPB 3.4.3 with Old SQL Base 3.3.4

Hello everybody

 

I Have SQL Base from old install , the version of IPB before is 3.3.4

 

and I want use this base on IPB 3.4.3 .

 

Can I do this ? and how i can install this ?

 

I hope you understand with my poor english language .

I put this in conf_global.php

$INFO['sql_tbl_prefix']		  =			 'dbo446873406';

install 3.3.4 then upload the database then upgrade to 3.4.3 - easiest way to put it

I see in my database I have all posts .... but nothing on my board , No categories,Forums,Members ...

Yes , but in my ACP/Forum , I have only the first category  "welcome" when we install IPB .

 

I see all post only in phpam , when I checked in acp the SQL eveything ok

 

I recheked my install

My SQL empty !

1) Install IPB 3.3.4

2) Upload my database from Phpam

I don't know why they wouldn't be there then sorry You could try deleting the database and reuploading it?

when you upload your backup db you must delete the new created db from the ipb install. and make sure, that the conf_global.php is using this db!

for me it looks so, that you have 2 databases in phpmyadmin. 1 is you old backup and one is a fresh from the new install, right?

I try to delete the new db from new install and up the old db

but in phpam I have only one

It does sound like its using the default database like freeware said. If it was using your old database the welcome topic wouldn't even exist unless you kept it there on your old site for some reason.

 

Not sure how it is if you deleted it and uploaded your own though.
