Daniel-WP 1
Is it just me or is 99% of webhosting providers out there using cPanel? What is your tough on cPanel and have you ever tested Plesk?

What is your tough on cPanel and have you ever tested Plesk? I've used both. Personally, I prefer plesk. It's cleaner and seems to be just more pro. That being said, I don't use control panels anymore ... justnginx and mariadb. I liked vestacp quite a bit too, as a free control panel it was good and very fast. lobster 1
Every time I try to change panels after some time I go back to CPANEL.
PCTipsGR 2
After the cPanel price hike and limit to 100 customers only on their best plan (you have to pay $0.20 for each customer after 100), I would choose Plesk. Plesk still seems safe. 1 18 hours ago, CoronadoEatz said: I liked vestacp quite a bit too, as a free control panel it was good and very fast. VestaCP is good when you are a client, but it doesn't have many features for the seller. I agree that it is nice. I have also used ISPConfig (as a free panel) and it was nice.

Yup. I also used to enjoy webmin but, I haven't used that in quite some time. I've tried to completely eliminate using apache, I use nginx with php-fpm exclusively now. Hahah so true :) I saw that cPanel changed back to a "Solo" license but that might last you 3 weeks if you have a few clients..... so from a feature and price standpoint i belive right now Plesk is the way to go

I switched to da myself Cpanel has more plugins and more features. Provides everything that a user needs within a single UI, and it's more organized. I would say direct admin is for those who host only for themselves and don't afford/ want to spect money. Personally, I support a panel like Cpanel or Plesk that have can handle a log of 3rd-party plugins and has more advanced features.

I simply cant afford their new prices.. 20 bucks/month for 5 cpanel accounts ? WHAT ?! I can survive with a few plugins and features.
