They are well-run and legit, have their own client download, and run servers in "Offline Mode" aka (cracked) such that anyone can play: you don't need a Mojang account/paid Minecraft copy. They have a great moderator team and it's great to have a place to play with friends who don't own one (or more) copies of Minecraft like I do.
