tool 0 Posted April 8, 2019 Share Posted April 8, 2019 i have been an avid user of IPB. and recently thought about switching to Xenforo because sometimes get http 500 errors on IPB. when i did a conversion to Xenforo, a few days ago, i was completely lost, and the new version of Xen was without things needed to run a forum... like the email sending for new registrations doesn't exist... if you switch to the new Xen, be aware that it is lacking the essential tools needed. Trying to edit some basic CSS or HTML code in XenForo can be a pain in the back, however you can customise quite a lot of things. However, when it comes to permissions...idk, it feels like it needs more types of moderation. IPB on the other hand, it's easier to modify, u don't have to go through 100 files to modify something basic as the footer.
