XC99 1 Posted April 6, 2019 Share Posted April 6, 2019 MyBB is by far the best free forum software, but it's seriously missing a few key features that would make it worth using over a paid solution. I seriously hate the way MyBB devs approach the development, the software is still missing proper password security, Anti-Spam features, some decent SEO friendly url rewriting and a conversation like PM system and the devs are like "Hey, lets spend a year to integrate a twig template engine in 1.9!". If they ever decide fix those (probably not in the next 2-5 years) i could consider it as a decent forum software, Untill then, IPB is the way to go. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Tricky 239 Posted April 6, 2019 Share Posted April 6, 2019 Yawn here we go again how do we compare from a free open software to a paid one. well mybb is still strong and well used in the nulled world for sites it has the features needed to create a well fantastic strong site more to offer than IPS and well free but and there is a but you need time to do well a hell of a lot of edits and be confident in coding and editing templates fixing things ect. then there is IPS simple one click does all (yawn no fun) great for game sites and well nulled sites to an extent but still has limitations. in all test and try that's the best way. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
