This question is for iphone or other ios device owners.

I used to be one of those guys who didn't want to pay for something that I can always just download for free. Since I plugged my iphone into my car and realized my car supports carplay, it made me to subscribe to Apple Music. It just feels so cool that while I'm driving I press a button on my steering wheel and tell Siri what I want her to play. When I do that she would find the song from Apple Music , I'm not sure if it works with spotify, too, I would probably need a Siri shortcut and say something like "play Eminem on Spotify".

Should I spend some time to figure out how to use Spotify with Siri and just pay for them instead?

I still have 3 months free trial with Apple Music that I really enjoy.

I will probably need more than 2GB of data per month. But that's fine.

I use spotify because not only can it be used on my iphone but many other devices as well. Since Apple music is only for apple devices. So in that format your basically stuck only using your iphone for music instead of using your computer, phone, tv basically anything that can have a app on it.

But it's worth to have more apple devices than an iPhone. I'll never buy an android handy again because I really like iOS, macOS and the harmony among each other

I never got into the whole Macbook thing there was to many programs that i couldn't run on macOS where i could run them on windows. I do enjoy my iphone but i prefer my Note 8 over my iphone 7 plus.

I really like Apple Music - the mobile app is pretty neat (plus Soor for iOS <3) and it is unfortunately the only one that works with Siri. However, they are let down hugely on feature parity with Spotify on devices and on the desktop.

Spotify Connect and Spotify's desktop client are the killer apps that keep me to their platform.
