ACP Stopped Working After Move

So i recently moved my forum from the /forums subdomain to the root domain and for some reason if the /forums domain isn't detected the ACP stops working firstly what i did was to rename the sub domain to prevent deleting a file i want later and when i try ACP it dosen't work as soon as i rename sub to original name then it begins working again.

Did you update your domain link information in the config file in your forum main directory?

yes the conf.php or something simlar naming to that

the forum and board is fully working jus the acp having issue
