Xenforo or Wordpress?

Hello there, i currently run a xenforo based website but as i dont really like the look of it so im considering swapping to wordpress. The buisness package seems to be a good option for me as i run an org. Does anyone have any advice regarding this ?

Well what is it you're running? If you're running XenForo for forums then I'd stick with it or move to IPB. I don't think WordPress is a good idea to move to as a forum.

Yes a forum is a forum and a website is a website.. I would think the OP would need to supply more info on the matter first then he may get a few better answers.

In my opinion, wordpress is ok if you want to have a personal website.  Xenforo or other forums platforms gives you more possibilities. 

So you have to know what you will do if

Only alone or you prefer some help.

The differences between a blogging and a forum platform are:

If you start with blog, you can grow faster than if you start with a fórum. Meanwhile if you have patience or a couple of friends to help you grow up clever and the success will be burger..., I recommend you a fórum platform.  And by the way; my favourite is xenforo as paid and phpBB as free.

Hmm, if it's purely looks and option/feature wise you won't miss something from Xenforo -> Wordpress I'd see no reason to stay at XenForo, it is far behind in many aspects, although the codebase is clean, OOP and easily editable, something that is constantly trying to escape the grasp of WP now a days.
As others have points, WP has a much much bigger amount of resources readily available. 

I myself would pick IPB though, similar amount of resources, arguably the best PHP framework, OOP AF and it incorporates website <-> forum features best of all CMS projects that I know of.

I think Wordpress is way better option. You can find 20 times more plugins and themes for WP, and u can easily write your own.

I prefer WordPress, it is much easier to configure and to add modules. It has bad security tho` and that's a sad point.
