Hey guys I have a problem with security questions in my forum. After migrating my website from a different host all the questions are wrong: me and other users write our CORRECT answers but they're always wrong. Could it be a problem with aes decrypting?

I had this issue on migration (server to server migration) too, I had to delete all security question and recreate it, and it worked after..

If you find a solution (another than mine) could you mention me or told me in PM how to do it without have to create questions again ? Thanks.

That's interesting, did you deleteded the "answer_answer" column inside "core_security_answers" table? And how to force user to answer the question again?

In the meantime I did some attempts and I've seen that if you write the answer in clear text in the database you can log in the forum with a correct answer. Maybe we have to set "AES Decrypt" function for column "answer_answer" but I don't know the decrypting key!

I deleted the question directly into the Admin PM, with IPS don’t go directly through the database.

I delete the question directly in the Admin CP, I never touch directly the settings, only for customs addons

I've tryed to delete the questions and add new ones but I face an error because IPS asks me to answer a question that does not exist anymore:

I would suggest just delete them from the admin panel, as IPS uses MySQL and this is a relations Database meaning you can delete something  but that won't work because other things are not, unless you know what you are deleting.

Did you try to delete the question and re-create them directly in AdminCP

Yes I've tryed deleting them from ACP and re-creating them but the new ones have a different ID (every question has an ID). The user have no question to answer during the login phase:Immagine.jpg

Sorry for my bad english :)
