ShnepsReturns 1
Hello everyone. I've upgraded to 4.3.2 just now and that caused me an error. I can't access admin CP, when I try to access domain.com/admin it redirects me to a page with the following error: [[Template core/admin/system/login is throwing an error. This theme may be out of date. Run the support tool in the AdminCP to restore the default theme.]] After reading this message I do understand it might be happening due to an outdated theme, however, I can't even disable/switch my current theme because I can't access my admin cp. With that being said, is there any way around it? as in, a query command or something that would allow me to switch to default theme without having access to my admin cp? Any help will be greatly appreciated ! Thank you.
Head Guru 106
The error is stating that the theme you are using is out dated. Try this first, re upload all files again and over ride all existing. Personally I would upload them via ftp (I know a longer process but makes sure it is done correctly) and then run your ugrade again at yourdomain.com/admin/upgrade Head Guru - Personal Blog: https://www.zacdrayson.com |Business Website: https://www.hydrawebservices.com

But, Re uploading it wont do anything as I dont have an updated version. Hence, I want to switch to default theme through a query command or some sort. Admin panel should still work sign in to admin panel and set default theme there for all members.

The error I mentioned at OP is what I see right after I visit mysite.com/admin That's the whole problem... else I would've just moved to a different/default theme and it wouldn't show anymore but since I can't access my admin CP, I am asking for help with switching to default theme through different method(s)... Administrator Tony 5,207 Posted May 14, 2018 Administrator Share Posted May 14, 2018 Simplest solution would be to revert to a backup, change the default theme, then run the upgrade tool again.

Honestly I rather not to, that is the reason i did not mention my site address from first place :/ hope you understand. But well the issue is quite simple as i explained. when i try to access mysite.com/admin, i get the error i mentioned. 8 hours ago, Davlin said: Simplest solution would be to revert to a backup, change the default theme, then run the upgrade tool again. You do not have to access your ACP to switch your theme - Unless the IPS Default theme has been disabled, you still can switch your theme through your forum, right? This is your only warning. Given that you didn't bother to create backups and are refusing access to your site, there really isn't anything we can do for you — although I'm skeptical that there is anything we could do even if we had access. The issue you are experiencing is purely user error and not something that can be corrected. The only thing "simple" about this error is that you need to do a hard reset on your forum installation. Always make backups. Let this be a lesson. As there is nothing else we can do for you, I am archiving this thread. Best of luck.
