Xenforo or IPB?

my site's currently on xenforo and i pretty much hate it. trying to get add-ons to work with our site is a mess. our tech team has to go in and do so much extra work to get them to function correctly for us. not to mention that sig restricting is horrible. we found an add-on for that helped with that but it was still a let down.

it may be a "grass is always greener on the other side" type situation, but we've been having serious talks on moving back to ipb soon. it all depends on us getting a ibecoomy-like application for ipb4. a credits/shop add-on is crucial for our site since the "virtual mall" thing we have going is a important aspect of our site. but so far we've had no luck :(

I like XF but since it's hard to find good and free resources for it I gave it up and installed IPB4. Don't get me wrong, IPB4 is amazing too. Both of them are, it's just matter of personal preference in my opinion.

It's pissing me off that almost every site containing XF resources is making most of the resoruces available to VIP's. That kind of system is dumb,

This is mainly down to personal preference, however I'm a XenForo fan, it's old-styled but for those of us who have been around for a while it's much more comfortable to use.

Ah, sorry. I hadn't looked at the date properly, it was in the top few topics so I'd assumed it was relatively recent.
